To take a look around today among so much chaos we may think there is nothing sacred and pure in this life, but for those who put their trust in God know His word is pure and undefiled. (Proverbs 30:5). Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
As Christians we are known as a peculiar people who Christ has died to redeem us unto Himself. It is His grace which teaches us to deny ungodliness and to live soberly in this present world. (Titus 2:11-15) For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee……… (Titus 1:15-16).
Daniel was told that at the end of all time there will be many who will be purified and tried, yet the wicked will not understand the times but the wise would! (Daniel 12:7-10). And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
When we come to understand how those of the world do not want to know us as we stand for God, we are purified by the knowledge that we will be as He is when He appears. (1 John 3:1-3). Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
