Why Is The Leaders & Shepards Of God’s Flock Complacent & Silent?

Complacent:  “marked by self-satisfaction especially when accompanied by unawareness of actual dangers or deficiencies”

(Revelation 3:16)  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Their idols are silver and gold, the work of human hands. They have mouths, but do not speak; eyes, but do not see. They have ears, but do not hear; noses, but do not smell. They have hands, but do not feel; feet, but do not walk; and they do not make a sound in their throat. Psalm 115:4-7

Their idols are silver and gold,
the work of human hands.
They have mouths, but do not speak;
eyes, but do not see.
They have ears, but do not hear;
noses, but do not smell.
They have hands, but do not feel;
feet, but do not walk;
and they do not make a sound in their throat. Psalm 115:4-7

He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.  John 21:17

So why when Jesus commanded His chosen and called to feed and care for His flock are they silent and condoning when it comes to sin and persecution?  What call have they actually heard?  What call are they answering?  Are they answering God’s call?

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.  Isaiah 6:8

How about Jesus’ call?

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. Matthew 16:24

I see none of the above in our Pastors or our religious leaders of today.  There are very few who are actually acting from conviction or a calling from God.  The few that are answering are met with cynicism, criticism, and hatred.  The excuses given are woeful.  Ask a Pastor if he is praying for the persecuted or teaching of Christ’s return and tribulation.  And you will see.  You will hear the woeful excuses like, it will scare people away, they will run if you preach the truth, or persecution.  Or you will hear well yes we pray for lots of things.  Really?  The very blueprint of God’s word is being darkened by this lacodasical attitude of complacency.

When was the last time you heard the large Christian Pastors and evangelists say ‘today we pray only for the persecuted’, or today we donate our offerings to the persecuted in Iraq, Syria, or Africa?  When was the last time you heard your pastor call for all to meet at the altar to pray for the persecuted?

Point made.  These pastors who say they teach the Bible are teaching everything but the Bible.  One evangelist say’s “God doesn’t want me to be poor, He wants me to be wealthy”  they say this as they have million dollar mansions, private jets and 6 figure salaries.  As people are starving, running from slaughter, rape and torture, trying to survive  plague ridden area’s and suffering untold very few of God’s chosen are addressing any of the above.

There are a few here in this country who is answering God’s call to spread the gospel and remember those in chains.  One such American pastor has just returned from Kuwait where he had a packed house for those coming to Christ.  Sharing the gospel with the poor, the orphaned, the widowed,  & the persecuted are commands and convictions that few are answering.

who shall I send

Is this why Christ said to his disciples, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;” (Matthew 9:37) or this:  “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” (John 9:4)  Or how about God’s command:  And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. (Joshua 24:15)  There is so much prophecy and knowledge in this verse that often goes unnoticed by theologians, but that’s another post.  Read it over and over until you see the truth.

It’s time to stand up and ask the tough questions, and ask our religious leaders for accountability from the Spirit of God, and His word, not the world’s riches.  Satan took Jesus to the mountain top and offered him all the riches of the world, and he said  Away from me.

Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;  And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.  Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.  (Matthew 4)

That’s what has happened to the Pastors of some of our western churches.  They have answered the temptation of satan offering the ecclesia the kingdoms and riches untold, if they just follow him.  And they are following him by changing the word of God, and caring more about riches than feeding or tending the flock.   God say’s it’s time to wake up:

Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed.  (Romans 13:11)

wake up

  1. On the route I take there is a huge church that is adding on a huge addition. With today’s prices as they are, the addition has probably a high six figure amount! I could not help but think of our Brothers and Sisters who have had to flee for their lives from the troops of murderers. These brethren are in need of basic food, clean water, and with winter coming on, a basic warm shelter from wind and cold. I could not help but think of how much assistance the price of this addition would buy.

    I see the parking lots of various “churches” full of late model cars with the attenders going in to warm, well-appointed sanctuaries to hear entertaining and “mind-tickling” messages. No. They don’t want to speak the truth or scare away those who contribute to maintaining this fine “religious” life style. It occurs to me that what is being served in these lovely buildings is “mammon.” Our LORD+ said it was impossible to serve both mammon and GOD. The western church has “crucified Christ anew and put HIM+ to an open shame” by this serving of mammon. This is terrifying.

    James 1:22 Be doers of the Word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. The deceit that has overwhelmed the organized “church” is that “I’m ok, you’re ok.” It is entirely possible that this illusion will be broken by death.

    The Words of our LORD JESUS are straight-forward and pure. We are without excuse for refusing to obey HIS+ Voice and not allowing HIS+ Words to shape and direct our lives. An account will be given before the Judgement Seat of CHRIST for our choices.

    Cheap grace and easy believism are a modern invention and NEVER taught by The SON of GOD. Let us all remember who we are and WHO has rescued us from death with HIS+ own Body and Blood, and let us walk accordingly. We are NOT our own; we have been bought with a price… a very GREAT price.

    Peace+ and Strength to the Brothers and Sisters + + +

  2. Satan whispers into the ears of our Pastors and most Christians today “whatever you do, don’t say a thing about what I am doing around the world” – and most obey. Jesus said love would grow cold but this is beyond anything our grandparents could have imagined. Several years ago, during lunch at work, I mentioned something a political leader had done that made the news. The woman seated near me said “I don’t care what they do as long as it doesn’t impact me,” I have never forgotten that statement and think that may be what most in America believe. I weep for the United States,

  3. Is it any wonder why serving Christ has been diminished to attending a building for ONE HOUR a week..who can’t do that? it is so convenient and is why so many do this and do not question…were those who truly seek the truth find it is vital to serve daily.as the prayer we’re given..Give us this day our DAILY bread. The word is our spiritual food and many are starving!!!!! God Bless You this was a very enlightening article.
