Walking through the wilderness

John the Baptist was one who preached in the wilderness of Judea that repentance was in order for the kingdom of heaven was at hand. His message so long ago as “The voice of one crying in the wilderness” is also the message of the christian today! Our Lord will once again return and we must repent and make way for the coming of the Lord.It may seem strange to others that your conversation is of the Lord and it may feel like your walking through a wilderness, but as a christian we are to press on with the message Gd has placed in our hearts(1 Peter 4:1-9). Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

There is nothing wrong with separating oneself for the sake of following the Lord, for that is a sign of obedience and those who are of the world will not understand. For those who hate you and separate you from their company consider it a blessing and we should rejoice for great is your reward in heaven. So it is for anyone who heeds the call on their life!(Luke 6:20-23). 20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.21 Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
