The Christ Of Christmas

Last week as I prayed the Lords prayer, he stopped me at “forgive our tresspasses”  and I heard “this is a season of forgiveness.”  As I dwelt on that I understood immediately what I was given.  God sent His Son to be born of a Virgin to save the world from sin.  A Sacrificial lamb born into a wicked world.  Let that be known.

There was once a great man of God called Billy Graham.  He loved Christ with his heart and soul and brought millions to our Savior.  Dont let the Christ haters or others commercialize or destroy the Prince of Peace or why we celebrate Christmas. Franklin Graham said this in 2015 and again this year about Christmas:  “As we approach Christmas in just a few weeks, remember that the reason we celebrate is because God sent His Son to earth on a rescue mission to save sinners.  Jesus came two millennia ago to a small Judean village for one ultimate purpose: to die on a horrid Roman instrument of execution—the cross—for the sins of men. There He would deal with the universal penalty and consequences of sin—everlasting death—and provide the way to eternal life through faith in His sacrificial, substitutionary, all-sufficient death.  That is the real story of Christmas. There is no cradle without the cross. There are no swaddling clothes without the folded garments in the empty tomb.”  (Read more)

Billy Grahams Christmas message from 1953 says it all!  And I whole heartedly agree, except for one thing, the church is failing in many ways.

So no matter what you choose to believe remember this one thing, satan has tried from the beginning to cloud the birth, gospel, death, and resurrection of Jesus even mixing in his other dieties meant to confuse and push away from the honor our King deserves.  All through history satan has spread doubt and discontent even in the church.  Well satan will not steal my joy or peace.  He will not deter me from honoring my King.  He will not make a mockery out of His birth.  Christmas is not, I repeat its not 100%pagan to those who honor Christ on Christmas.

As the angels announced, Luke 2: “Don’t be afraid! I have good news for you, a message that will fill everyone with joy.”
