While watching Fox news last night, the damage done to America’s youth by the sleeping Church became abundantly clear. In your face clear.
The Western church has given way to the world and it’s new doctrine, and politically correct language, and it’s fear of offending men, to the point that they have taken away the deity of Christ. Hyperbole? No, you can’t make this up.
We have all watched the dumbing down of American youth, but this is much more. I have watched youth leaders who say they can’t tell youth about prophecy, I have watched as they cared more about numbers and parties than teaching the truth. Whole churches even Christian radio has turned to money and numbers caring more about new buildings with coffee shops and gyms. But this tops the cake. I blame the greedy shepards.
Anyway I listened as a comedic news commentator interviewed young people asking them questions about Jesus. He asked one young woman “What was Jesus’ occupation?” She replied, “I don’t know, a Prophet I think.”
Oh my, the hackles raised on my neck. Of course as true Christians the answer would have been carpenter, as He was trained by His earthly Father Joseph.
This muddying the teachings of Jesus Christ has happened and the church is silent, in many, many cases the church is teaching this so not to offend Muslims. And then there’s the “A common word document” From Yale University early in the 21st century, that shreds the deity of Christ, which many prominent Evangelicals signed. Like Robert Shuler to name just one.
No where, I repeat no where in the Bible does it say Jesus was only a prophet. In fact many times it says the opposite even going into detail. Take Luke chapter 7 for example. One scripture quoted and twisted by eroneous doctrines of demons is “Behold a Prophet has been raised among us.” After Jesus raised a widows only Son from the dead. But read the whole chapter! Jesus declares John the Baptist to be the prophet set before Him, while he declares himself the Son Of Man. Then as if to clarify His Deity, as he eats in the home of a Pharisee he takes criticism from the self righteous Pharisee because he let a sinful woman wash his feet and anoint Him. Then He clarifies for all as He forgives the woman of her sins and tells her to go in peace her sins are forgiven! Of course the Pharisees wanted to know who He was that He could forgive sin. They missed it. Missed it completely.
Just as the self righteous Pharisees of our day think they know God’s word, but are foolish. That is just one example, there are many. His name is Yeshua HaMessiach. Not Jesus the Prophet, not ISSA. I know the argument for justifying the lie of issa or allah. It’s Arabic they say, it’s Arabic for Jesus and God they say. What language did Yeshua speak? Arabic? NO, ARAMAIC. What language do the scholars refer to as the pure language? Arabic? There is a pure language spoken of by Zephaniah in chapter 3 that God will pour out on His people. John tells about this word, he says the Word became flesh. Even Daniel and Joseph when under captivity did not call on God in the captors languages. Thus after showing their faith and miracles from God, the rulers wanted to know the God of Daniel, the God of Joseph. They didn’t say I want to know your “Ra” or the “bel” or the “baal” God showed His hand many times to show the world He was God, He alone, was God. He gave His Son as the Ultimate Sacrifice for Sin!! Breaking the veil, giving us free access to His throne through our High Priest Lord Jesus Christ!! Does that sound like a prophet to you? Jesus said one greater than Abraham is here, He also said, before Abraham, I AM. You would think they would have known that was God. Remember God told Abraham to tell the Jews that I AM sent him. He also lamented over how many times he wanted to gather Jerusalem as a hen gathers it’s chick’s under her wings.(Matthew 23) But alas the Jews of Jesus day was embroiled in greed and Roman times, and had forgotten their true love. Just as the modern church of today has forgotten. Why does the modern church continue to ignore warnings from the early church??
2 Corinthians 4 tells us why and left a prophetic message for the church today that goes unheard.
“In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the Gospel, the Glory of Christ who is THE IMAGE OF GOD.
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
John 8
Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.
STOP DENYING OR TEARING DOWN THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST BY DENYING THE DEITY OF CHRIST!
And Jesus asked Peter when discussing who the people said He was and Peter said they think your a prophet. He said to Peter, Who do you say I am? Peter replied, THE CHRIST, MESSIAH. (Mark 8)
If you deny me before men I will deny you before the Father. (Mathew 10)
There is only ONE WAY to the Father and that is through Christ. (John 14)
Again the watchmen are blowing the trumpets, with warnings from the early church but alas it falls on deaf ears. Wake up!

Remember Jesus did prophesy there would be a falling away and His truth would be watered down..those church leaders who do this are NOT born again.If they were the Holy Spirit would lift Jesus up not bring Him down..Jesus used the harshest of words i.e vipers whited sepulchres to the pharisses and leaders of the temple because they were leading people astray with false doctrine.But soon this will end with Jesus return come lord Jesus come

Jeremiah 23:1-4 tells us that there will be a punishment to the pastors that destroy and scatter His sheep!The false doctrines of long ago are alive and well flourishing even today,but as man honors man Jesus said it best how by accepting only one’s own is not believing in God!Thank you CJ for a most truthful article of the shape the world is truly in,although many claim religious beliefs.God Bless You Sister.

He was THE Prophet, as well as the Son of God, the Son of Man, the Messiah, the Eternal One, etc.
Deuteronomy 18:17 And the LORD said to me, ‘They are right in what they have spoken. 18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. 19 And whoever will not listen to my words that he shall speak in my name, I myself will require it of him.
Acts 3:22 Moses said, ‘The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers. You shall listen to him in whatever he tells you. 23And it shall be that every soul who does not listen to that prophet shall be destroyed from the people.’

The trouble with this is not reading the whole text. Acts 3 explains fully that Jesus is the Messiah. It points out that even in Moses time he for told of jesus, one greater than Moses or even Abraham would come. And sadly they use this to say see even the Muslims believe in Jesus. All the while denying the deity of Christ. Even the demons believe in God. Even the demons recognized Christ as the messiah when he cast them out of a man they asked him why have you come to torment us before the time. The church is teaching doctrines of demons by denying the deity of Christ. Even Peter in the chapter you quote calls Christ the author of creation. Proving again, Jesus, the Father and Holy Spirit are one. Acts 3
While the man held on to Peter and John, all the people were astonished and came running to them in the place called Solomon’s Colonnade. 12 When Peter saw this, he said to them: “Fellow Israelites, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? 13 The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. 17 “Now, fellow Israelites, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders. 18 But this is how God fulfilled what he had foretold through all the prophets, saying that his Messiah would suffer. 19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, 20 and that he may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus. 21 Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets. 22 For Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you. 23 Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from their people.’
As for Dueteronomy 18. The people of Israel had defied God saying the didn’t want to hear his voice or see His fire. He layer down very specific ground rules, remember they had doubted Moses, God set rules before them and even gave them a clear way to judge if a prophet was a true prophet of God. Again, this is one of the scriptures used by scholars and rightly so to point that Jesus Christ was prophecied from the beginning of scripture. But agsin, sadly they use this to justify the Muslims calling Jesus only a prophet, without taking the whole of God’s word.
According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
17 And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?
22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
The people Isaiah lays out Christ perfectly yet they leave this out too. In addition to Isaiah 53 King David also speaks of Jesus in Psalm 22. The church is raising pastors that don’t study God’s word in its entirety and are misleading God’s people. Even the scripture you quote God warns not to adopt customs of those who worship another god. Isaiah 53
Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Jesus’ deity is being stripped away. Period.

The point of that scripture is not to say that he was a prophet and not the Messiah, but that is clearly pointing to Yahushua/Yeshua. How many times did Yeshua say that He came in the name of the Father and that He spoke the father’s words not His own?

Exactly so why does the modern church agree with those that say Christ was only a prophet. Why are they not teaching that Christ is God? Why are they denying the Power of our Lord. Again I blame the shepards for not preaching God’s word. In a zeal to please and not offend man they hide the truth. That is my point. A point I received from the Holy Spirit. It grieves my heart to see our Lord downplayed. And it’s only going to get worse. Revelation 3 gives us a clear picture of what Jesus thinks of the church. I’m glad to know that you know the difference, but sadly many do not. I’m asking for Christian Pastors to speak the truth of God’s word now while there is still time.

CJ- I guess it is so obvious that He is God that I didn’t even think it was up for discussion but your point is well taken. My family and I gave up trying to find a church that would preach the Word and stop trying to entertain.
The problem starts in seminary where future pastors are taught errors and it goes from there but we will all be held responsible for not opening the Bible and reading it for ourselves.

Yes! The modern western Church is denying CHRIST/MESSIAH before the entire world and putting HIM+ to an open shame. They are in DEEP TROUBLE and are so blind that they refuse to see it.
These young Christians (?) will not last 5 minutes when the persecution comes down. They are being trained already to deny CHRIST before men on a daily basis. They are mindless “churchians”!
The Scriptures are and have been under attack for a LONG time. Robert Schuler was a Freemason and worshiper of mammon and an enemy of the Cross of CHRIST. There are MANY like him doing the same thing.
It is time to come out of the DEAD so-called “churches”. “HE+ was a prophet I think???” What in the Name of Heaven are these USELESS organizations teaching the young people?? A small child who is serious would know the answer to that question!!
Judgement MUST come! The false apostate churches are themselves going to destroy the Gospel of Life as they bow to satan and feed their flesh. Horrific persecution is on the way! The apostate religious system is going to be like tissue paper in the fire. They will participate in the attack on the True followers of MESSIAH unless they Repent.
GOD help us to STAND for our LORD MESSIAH+ and to speak the TRUTH+ to this dead and dying world.
