A tumultuous year that can easily be described as “the world reeling as a drunkard.”
The year began with the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. January 16, 2016 the darkness of a deal with an oppressive, terroristic regime was enacted. The Islamic Republic of Iran not only terrorizes it’s own citizens, literally beating them into submission, but sponsors terrorism across the Globe through Hezbollah, Hamas and all who hate Israel and the US. Sweeping Christian persecution, political activists with opposing views, persecution of women, persecution of religious minorities like the Bahai, and thousands of state sponsored executions of these groups under the rug, world leaders turned a blind eye to abuses of humanity.
Christian genocide was declared.
“On February 3, 2016, the European Union recognized the persecution of Christians by Islamic State in Syria as genocide. The vote was unanimous. The United States followed suit on March 15, 2016, in declaring these atrocities as genocide. The vote was unanimous. On April 20, 2016, British Parliament voted unanimously to denounce the actions as genocide.”
The free world watched as new evil ways to slaughter and torture emerged. Increase in rape, crucifixions, burning alive, and beheadings rose. Attacks on the free world increased in Europe, Germany and the US, but again obama says the world is safer.
The migrant crises from war torn areas swelled, although the media sought to downplay this. So at the end of 2015 when Obama declared it was shameful to admit Christians into the US, even as Christian Genocide was being committed. This is the breakdown of numbers.
By religious affiliation, the overwhelming majority of entrants were Muslim (including Sunni Muslims, but also non-Sunni minorities), with a small component of non-Muslim minorities (including Yazidis, Assyrians, Mandeans, etc.). According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the top three nationalities of entrants of the over one million Mediterranean Sea arrivals between January 2015 and March 2016 were Syrian (46.7%), Afghan (20.9%) and Iraqi (9.4%), all overwhelmingly Muslim entrants.
Of the unauthorized entrants arriving in Europe by sea in 2015, 58% were adult males over 18 years of age, 17% were adult females over 18 years of age, and 25% were minor males and minor females under 18 years of age.
From March 2016 to October 2016, 140,358 migrants have arrived in Italy via the sea, which averages out to roughly 20,051 migrants per month. Overall the number of migrants arriving into the EU has dropped, but the EU still is creating agencies and plans to mitigate the crisis. In addition to the EU-Turkey Refugee Agreement, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency was launched on October 6, 2016.
Syria was set on fire, hundreds of thousands of innocent people lost their lives while world leaders turned away. And innocent people were killed or starved to death. Aleppo fell. The US has backed rebels that have wreaked havoc that compares to DAESH. Western leaders are complicit in these crimes against humanity. They have blood on their hands. As well as Syria, European and German leaders have given away security in exchange for the demands of the UN to open their borders to terrorists. As obama, on his last speech from the UN announced the New Global Order was complete.
Our country went through turmoil with its own election that left it divided. But a New President emerged, claiming to re-build America and American values and greatness. We will see.
In the last days of a President that has wreaked havoc in the world and at home he condemned Israel in front of the world, saying they have no right to land that is theirs, or even to pray at the Western wall. I fully expect him to implement a 2 state covenant before he leaves. He will do as much damage as he can. This evil will not give way peacefully.
So we leave 2016 with Christians still enduring persecution, an evil overtaking the world that closes it’s eyes to Human rights and encourages oppression, will history show that the world humanity failed?? Yes our hope is in the Lord.
We see increase in persecution in countries like Indonesia, China, North Korea, Pakistan, Iran, Nigeria, Eritrea, and Iraq and Syria, yet we can’t see the numbers of Christians taken in or helped. We see Christian Asylum seekers in Thailand and Malaysia aressted while Muslim asylum seekers gain their status to safety. Yes we have seen the UN say that Christians aren’t persecuted in Pakistan, all while they are burned alive, and one Christian woman awaits a death sentence for her faith. We’ve seen a West where churches close their eyes. That’s what we saw in 2016.
2016 also saw the return of Americans held hostage in Iran. They were released only after the US paid money. Pastor Saeed Abidini returned home only to find persecution awaiting at home. He is doing well but the church welcomed him not! The very pastor that attacked and accused him falsely is now embroiled in his own scandalous adultry. The shame of the Western church. Judgement begins in the house of the Lord.
Time is short. Tribulation, wearing down of the saints and the great deception is here.
“What I say to one I say to all watch!” (Mark 13)
