What Repentance from Sin Should Look Like
The watered-down Gospel of Christ only looks at the fruit of sin, and so, the plea is for people to acknowledge that Jesus paid the penalty for our sins and to ask Him to please forgive our sins. The popular approach is “sins forgiven, heaven gained, and hell avoided.”
But then people never repent of their SIN, that is, the root of sin. The true essence of sin is rooted in pride which usurps God’s authority, grasps after equality with God, exercises dominion (control) over your own life apart from any consideration of God or His Kingdom authority or His perfect will, and establishes the kingdom of “Me, Myself, and I” within the human heart. Man’s spirit is dead, cutoff from the God-kind of life that only God Himself can provide through faith in Jesus Christ. Man lives life out from the soul corrupted by the power of sin, influenced by the world, the flesh, and the devil. The only remedy is to come to God on His terms of covenant (surrender & obedience). Repent of SIN and believe (pisteuo, #4100G) on the Lord Jesus Christ! To believe means to commit and entrust…
“Lord, I confess that I am a sinner who sins because I have a sinful, human nature; and I need Christ as my LORD-Savior! I turn away from exercising control over my own life apart from You, Your Kingdom authority, and Your perfect will; and I surrender control of my life to You. I fully commit myself to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and I entrust myself entirely to Christ for my spiritual well-being. Please “life” me by Your Holy Spirit and adopt me into Your royal family of true believers and followers of Christ. Amen!”
Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” The gift of God is God Himself enabling you to live the God-kind of life perpetually through a fixed position of abiding, relational rest “in Christ.” By God’s Word and His Spirit, our mind becomes renewed and our Good Shepherd restores our soul. We live out from the spirit in union-life with the Holy Spirit, and our soul becomes a ready servant to serve the Spirit in carrying out the Father’s will.
Salvation is not the forgiveness of sins, rather, salvation is a new life found only in the Person of Jesus Christ the Lord. But with this new life “in Christ,” we also have the forgiveness of sins through Christ’s atoning blood shed on Calvary’s Cross. Romans 5:10 says, “For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” “For You… have become my salvation” (Psalm 118:21). Newness of life “in Christ” is God’s remedy for SIN!
I simply encourage you to call people to repent of their SIN, to surrender control of their life into the loving hands of God, to fully commit to the Lordship of Christ, and become genuinely born-again from above by the Holy Spirit. Then we learn to yield to Christ’s life and walk in submission to the Holy Spirit, making voluntary adjustments to the Spirit’s authority. The Lord sets us free from being a slave to the powers of sin and self. We learn to make moment-by-moment faith choices that please our Father, rather than emotional choices that please “Me, Myself, and I,” especially when an emotional choice runs contrary to a faith choice. This way, we learn to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Him. Only Jesus can thoroughly conquer the kingdom of “Me, Myself, and I” by the power of His love!
Jesus said, “If you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.” (John 8:24)

Today I was in my yard and I was moving my pumpkin vine out of the way so the grass could be mowed. The pumpkin vine has become quite long, maybe 5 to 6 feet. As the vine grows outward into the grass, it extends off shoots that wrap themselves around the blades of grass. So I had to very gently Breakaway these shoots from the blades of grass in an effort to lift the Vine. As I got part way through this process, I heard “I am the Vine and you are the branches.” I’m trying to decipher what God was saying or what his message means.
Any insight, wisdom, understanding & discernment is greatly welcomed. I have studied “I am the vine and you are the branches.” Several books seem to be relevant to what is going on in my life at this time or in our life as God’s people.

If I become separated from my Heavenly Father, I will surely wither an die as the branches of a vine separated from the vine.

After reading the “Watchman’s Warning” (4/20/16), I felt compelled to comment, and I hope and pray this is the appropriate venue. Please be patient with me. Thank-you.
A few days ago I drove to Los Angeles. I hadn’t been there in 26 years since my last visit in 1994. I arrived around 2 AM, and pulled off I-5 to go into the downtown area. What I didn’t realize was that I had entered the part of the city known as “Skid Row,” and I was stunned by what I saw.
Block…after block…after block…after city block…of homeless people sleeping on the sidewalks in tents, cardboard boxes, crates, plastic bags…whatever they could find. There must have been hundreds, possibly even thousands of men, women, and children. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. It was like something out of a disaster movie. The dreadful scene stretched for probably over a mile. It was a pivotal moment for me, a frightening confirmation of what I have been witnessing in this country for the past two years.
I have never seen such a precipitous plunge in every measure of godliness in such a short time as I have observed in recent years. Morality has essentially disappeared from our culture. Television and the Internet have degenerated into vulgar glorification of every ungodly lifestyle. When the Supreme Court gave its approval to same-sex marriage, I felt that America had died. Sixty million abortions, pornography, gambling, child abuse, drugs…on and on and on. When Colorado legalized recreational marijuana use, I said a prayer for my relatives in Denver. Everything godly being destroyed. The Church plunging into apostasy. Evil triumphing everywhere.
When I left L.A. and headed east for home, I was–again–stunned by what I saw. Gigantic casino resorts on Native American reservations. One after another after another. I thought of the poor wretches in those places, ruining their lives. Dear God. I used to gamble, until God graciously rescued me from that sin.
I am convinced that we are living in the Last Days. I cannot see how the present world system can continue to function for much longer. I am convinced that sooner rather than later we will experience God’s Judgment upon this miserable world. I believe America will be devastated. Last year, as I traveled in the eastern part of the country, whenever I pulled over to eat at a fast food place I always heard God whispering to me that I should enjoy the food because it will not be around forever. Food shortages in America? Yes. I have had so many terrible dreams and visions of America being destroyed that I have lost count. God help us.
Well, I felt moved to share this with you. We are on the brink of His Final Judgment, if it hasn’t begun already. Say your prayers. Stay close to God. And brace for impact.

so true, i had a very detailed dream in the fall of 2015,just yesterday i finally received the full interpretation of it. there is absolutely no doubt in my mind as i am a spirit filled christian and absolutely could not of on my own thought this dream up. i am not american but they are my friends, canada is in worse shape than united states,anything goes here . the difference is christians (most) are wishy washy and do not want to stand up for things but keep the peace, unfortunately most are asleep. The lord showed me that the us dollar will fall. In one part of my dream i seen a us penny the Lord said worthless ,right beside it was a coin with the statue of liberty on it. i realize after asking someone yesterday, if the stock exchange was in new york (yes). i dont know if you have any stocks but they will crash im not sure of when the only thing i know was all these things happened after 3 days in my dream could mean 3 years or (perfection,after completion). and there will be a famine after this the lord spoke it.

Aimazan &her husband who has been beaten, mocked, spitted and persecuted several times by the radical Muslims for their faith in Jesus. Aimazan told us last Friday that God’s Spirit is changing the hearts of the radical Muslims for His own glory. She also told us that once those who mocked and spat on her and persecuted to her those people are talking with her now- a- days. She is getting great opportunity to share the love of Jesus to them very often. God has filled her heart with His love to her persecutors.
Sis. Nasima testified last Friday that Aziz’s elder sister and her husband visited their home first time after Nasima & Aziz became followers of Christ. Nasima told us that Aziz’s sister & her husband mocked and humiliated to Aziz and Nasima for their faith in Jesus and they were very angry on them. But, God is changing their hearts and there was great joy in the family as Aziz’s elder sister & her husband visited them after 6 years. Praise The Lord!

This morning’s reading brought an answer I had for such a long time wanted a solution to.It is written because as he is,so are we in this
world.(1 John 4:17)
AND if Christ died and was risen on the third day,then where in scripture is it that “WE TOO”rise on the third day,just as our Saviour did!
The answer is in Hosea 6:2………….
After two days will he revive us:in the third day he will raise us up,and we shall live in his sight!

Julia just wanted to say your statements to Ann concerning Christmas were well written I along with most people at one time was overly excited about Christmas Jeremiah 10 clears all this up for me strange how the Bible is written in 3D most people take exception to the idea of someone who says I don’t observe that ritual and most will refer to the JW’s as being the cult who would take away the peoples right to observe the birthday of the little baby Jesus’s birthday.
In fact most churches in the former united states are filled with baby Christians who believe that the son of God never got much bigger than a baby,and the so called leadership of churches here are corrupt and know what the scriptures say about this occult ritual yet they display christmas trees in their churches and certainly want nothing to do with talking about what God says about these things I have have witnessed this first hand.
Now go to any local church in the former united states on December 24th stand there and ask this question “how can anyone discern rather or not if there’s actually an open attach being made on Christians or Christianity if all of your churches are as corrupt as a house of ill repute?”
I guess this sheds a lot of light on another question “who will make war with the beast?” I can certainly tell you it won’t be people who join a church and conduct their live with the mentality that just because they proclaim themselves to be a christian and now they have a free pass to miss use others treat others as lesser human beings,and its O.K because the little baby Jesus told me so!
I’ve been unfortunately on the receiving end of this type of hypocrite mentality from people who claimed to be Christians and I’ll say this Satan was far more of a Christan these types.
I’m more apt to believe now days that the former united states is under God’s judgement,I say the former united states because were now under the ruler ship of a cult that is corporate communism/national socialism,neither of which are political parties they are Satanist that’s why you have two parties you can vote for in this country the demopublicans or the republicrats.
It all means the same to me anti-Christ.
At any rate I also believe God is right (the God of the king James Bible)and I believe if he said don’t become familiar with the ways of the heathen I believe he meant every word of it,I also truly believe God is a part animal look at all the parties he commanded we throw in his presence…
Yet we give up all those parties celebrations etc to worship sun gods barre breasted fertility goddesses and observe rituals that even mimic the act of bathing eggs in the blood of human child blood sacrifices,lets not forget the suicide rates shooting sky high the depression and stress both mental and financial does any of this sound like something a loving God would want for us?

You make a couple of good solid points like people do not allow God to be bigger than a baby, I guess no one noticed if they celebrate their birthdays only they are allowed to get a year older. This reminds me of the passage that strong meat belongs to those of full age and there are many still on the bottle in America as long as they keep their bibles closed and only listen to the one at the pulpit! (Hebrews 5:12-14).
Another thing you mentioned is the decline of what a true Christian is as you are so right the houses of ill repute (churches) will not be making war with the beast as the anti-christ will be like the candy man to them and they will run to his lies as they have spent their lives believing them and will not see the difference. God wants overcomers not those who fitted into a world that convienantly left him out of the equation. I was happy to see you read the real bible (King James) as with so many interpretations that are published has taken from the original truth of an Almighty God. But God has this covered as well if man wants to change his holy word to cloak their sin. (Revelation 22:18,19).
You are correct so many are depressed and suicide rate is higher, not to mention all the debt people put on themselves all to be loved is not ordained by God and remains a tradition of man. I completely enjoyed reading your comment. God Bless and keep you always.

Just wanted to say it was good to see others have seen what I was shown also about santa…….I get deer in headlights look at that time of year when everyone is in their so called spirit of giving mood(no such spirit given to man).When asked why don’t you celebrate christmas Julia? Ann…….I USED TO celebrate christmas til the truth was revealed to me of the lie it is that was passed down from tradition of our forefathers.I have many pictures showing my beautifully decorated home & tree with the mindset I was celebrating the birth of Jesus (Talk about “Persecution”!!!!) when I no longer followed tradition of those around me…That is a wilderness experience!.Jesus spoke of the dangers of following traditions of men.Paul says it best! in Galations 1:1-16 & Colossians 2:8.Ann I pray once this truth is revealed to you it will bring the freedom & peace it gives when one chooses to (Follow ONLY CHRIST) and his truth though HEAVY persecution follows when you no longer do as the world does.

i know about traditions of men,and i know there were no three wise men just three gifts…but somehow i have nice feelings towards that time of year and i don’t think i’m obeying any evil spirits by celebrating Christmas,it’s just matter of preference.Like other people go to church, i don’t.Because i don’t see any godly churches around me.NT also talks about that some people find some days more important than others…i only find my birthday important but i also like Christmas.I hope that explains my point of view.God bless

true. dec 25th was a pagan holiday. we don’t celebrate christmas anymore either. and the easter bunny is especially wicked. you know it’s crazy if only we had studied our history when we were younger instead of just going with the flow or believing what everyone else said about these things.

I’m sorry I am so late in commenting on the Christmas issue. This is the first year in my 53 years that I won’t be celebrating. It will be difficult because I come from a LARGE Catholic family. I am a messianic Christian an have started celebrating the jewish holidays. I strive to walk the narrow path Yeshua has set for us. I also found Jeremiah 10:2-4 about not decorating a tree. I would appreciate any help on getting thru the holiday season. Thank you and God bless you for having this site available to me.

Again, this was given to me by email, to share.
This is information revealed to me by the Holy Spirit, and in obedience to God, and His very written, Living Word, I bring this to you. Many false prophets have indeed risen through the ages, speaking with tongues of dragons, leading many who had once tasted the salvation obtained through only God’s grace through their faith in Christ, astray. While God lovingly warned all of mankind of all that would befall them lest they heed His warnings, many chose their love of sin instead, thus causing them to fall again under the condemnation of the Law.
God tells us the qualifications of an Holy Prophet, that, if that man is in error in even one of his claims, that man is no prophet. Having never asked, nor expecting to become one, a prophet is what my God Almighty, Creator of all, has in fact, made me; this being His purpose for me, written within my book before I was thought of in the world.
In His love, the depths of which we in flesh can scarecely yet fathom, many horrific realities are brought to light, not so that we fear them, but rather are filled with understanding of their identities, their source, seeing them for what and who they are. Therefore, we are not to be fearful, but of hope, the joy of knowing what awaits the faithful, as we endure in the truth that is Christ.
As with all things, you are instructed to test my words, not comparing them to the thoughts of man, but to the Word of God. May you prayerfully proceed, taking nothing lightly, asking the Lord for greater understanding, and in all good discernment. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Wow. Every Word of God is pure and true! It truly is a two-edge sword.
The false religious system satan is using is deceiving so many. I thank God for His Word, His grace, and His people who are able to speak His truth.
I was studying and seeing how history will repeat itself. By conviction I know the KJV is the world of God for the English speaking people. The enemy was clever in getting people to not know that and deny that. I was one of them who just didn’t know about the different versions because I wasn’t paying attention.

God has many ways of speaking and confirming His actions to His children and rainbows are certainly one of them. We live in an area where there are almost no planes in the sky, certainly not close, if ever we see one it’s from a great distance, and when I was very down, one time, I walked outside and the clouds had formed a perfect cross in the sky, I will never forget it. It was an immediate reminder that God was with me. Thank you Julia for sharing, and reminding me of God’s confirmations.

Wanted to share this with everyone.I was just looking at pictures I have and a certain one made me remember the day I took it.For as long as I’ve been alive a rainbow was only seen in the eastern sky…..But now I can’t say that…..These are the days of signs & wonders!!….The last two rainbows I have seen now was after receiving good news.The one was in the south sky and the other my husband was leaving for work and turns towards the west and we had received wonderful news the previous day and a double rainbow appeared.WOW!

I have just found this site tonight on my computer and I dont believe I stumbled on it by chance! In fact, about a half hour ago, I prayed to the Lord to take me to a good Christian site and I found this one. I could relate to so many of these prayers and situations and would like to be a blessing here if thats what the Lord wants me to do. I live in Western Australia and I presume most of my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ on this site are in the US. Am I correct in saying this? God bless you all in Jesus Name.

Ann, I’m glad you shared your powerful testimony. I’m glad that you turned to God. You are a child of God now. You are protected by the blood of Jesus. I am praying for you. Nothing or no one can snatch you out of God’s hands. He will keep Satan and his demons from you. You said you didn’t have a Bible when this started, do you have one now? Do you know a minister or a priest? Thank you so much, for sharing. You have such a gift from God, He will protect you. And remember above all, and you can say this over and over, I have. ‘He who is in me, is greater than he who is in the world!’ Satan likes to make people think he is all powerful, but he is not. God is all powerful, not satan. I was born in atheist family with no mentioning of God whatsoever.I never heard about prayer or Jesus.I had no consciouness of good and evil.When i was kid i started to be abused by a vampire demon,that’s how i knew something was there but i couldn’t define it.As i was growing up,i heard of God and His Son but i wasn’t believeing it.I was dreaming some big snakes and lamb,and guy coming on clouds etc. but i didn’t have a Bible to see those things are written in there.With every year that went by I would come around more and more demons.They would use me and abuse me i wasn’t protected at all and I ended up in occult then in satanism.I vowed to sell my soul to the devil.He would come every second night to take my soul away but everytime it would be so frightening that I would pray prayers i learned from catholic books and devil and his demons would flee away.I would see angels and golden swords.Still i wasn’t ready to serve God i told satan i will give him my soul next time he comes.But then again the fear would be paralysing in his presence i would start praying like crazy.
One day I finally had it enough!It was on christimas and devil would come on big christian holidays.I was so scared i was literally crying all christmas day for God to forgive me and that i want to turn from satanism and that if he keeps devil from coming to my room till i die,i would serve Jesus and His Father. i was scared to fall asleep because i thought devil will come and God hates me he will never protect me!
Devil didn’t come to my room ever again.Yes i’ve seen him in visions and dreams,but he never stepped into my room again.I was surprised to wake up safe day after christmas.I knew i am done with satanism and every night before i go to bed, i remind God to keep his part of deal and i’ll keep mine.
