(TCP News) There was a time when Ann Coulter was an ardent supporter of Trump – now Coulter mercilessly trashes him.
This writer was at one time a big fan of Ann Coulter, not any longer. Ann has moved well beyond simple disagreement with Trump to resorting to name calling and trashing him publically.
I guess it’s no longer In Trump We Trust, but instead has morphed into ‘In Trump We Do NOT Trust.’ I note however that as much as Coulter trashes Trump and says she doubts she will vote for Trump – she still has her book In Trump We Trust for sale on Amazon raking in the cash. Said book ranks at #282 in Amazon’s Conservatism & Liberalism category.
So what is Coulter’s beef with Trump? Illegal immigration, or more precisely Ann’s view that Trump has not done enough to stop it. While I believe she has a valid point here (in part), Trump cannot do this all by himself – the majority of Congress including Republicans are simply not interested in making the needed changes.
Lately, Ms. Coulter is seeing red over Trump’s attacks on Jeff Sessions, even going so far as to proclaim that she would write in Sessions for president in the 2020 election.
Newsflash! Jeff Sessions could not keep control over his own department within the U.S. government, and Coulter thinks/implies that it would be a better choice to hand the reigns of the entire government over to him? Preposterous.
But wait – there’s more.
Coulter even stated that she could vote and work for Bernie Sanders if he embraced his “original position” on U.S. border policy. Whatever happened to being a staunch conservative Ann?
“If he went back to that position, I’d vote for him, I might work for him. I don’t care about the rest of the socialist stuff. Just, can we do something for ordinary Americans?” (Source)
So, according to Ann, what we need to do is to elect a socialist to do “something for ordinary Americans.” Apparently doing a little something for Americans is worth pushing the entire country into socialism, you know, that “socialist stuff” she doesn’t care about.
How can anyone, let alone an intelligent woman like Ann hold such an ignorant viewpoint? Socialism in part or in whole (and there is no such thing as socialism in part) is not an acceptable answer or solution to America’s problems.
Venezuela embraced socialism as a country – did you know that most Venezuelans are millionaires? Venezuelan asylum seekers are warning that the U.S. lockdowns and the resulting ramifications are but a taste of socialist ideology. Yet Coulter thinks this is the way to go.
Ann is also unfortunately two-faced.
“Lamenting the president’s proclivity for sending ‘trash tweets,’ she added that his presidency has been a disappointment “to all of his supporters, whom he has done nothing for.’” (Source)
While lamenting Trump’s tweets, Ann is no better:
“The most disloyal actual retard that has ever set foot in the Oval Office…”
In an interview for Yahoo, Ann also said that Trump is a “big betrayer,” and that there would be more decorum in the White House if “Zippy the Chimp” was there versus Donald Trump.
While I can understand some of Coulter’s frustrations, this is no way to go about things and accomplishes nothing of use.
If Ann’s wish that Trump be defeated were to come true, I have news for this supposed conservative icon: Adios, America would likely come to pass but for an entirely different reason.
