Spread Hope Not Fear Or Negativity

I came home yesterday full of hope. And then the negativity hit me square in the jaw. As states are opening up giving hope to so many the negative fear took over. Turn it off! Comments on social media and even friends took hold for a minute. We forget Satan uses negativity and misinformation to beat us down. I went to bed battle weary. But as I woke to start my day God guided me to His word. Jeremiah 29. Specifically verse 11.

Never in modern times has this word been more relevant than today. There are those that wish to destroy hope with negativity and fear. Our Hope is in Gods word and promises.

Jeremiah 29 (KJV)

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

In Jeremiah 29 while the Israelites had been carried away by Babylon God gave them hope. He tells them to carry on Hope is there and He doesn’t want to cause them harm or despair. Don’t take away peoples hope. Don’t spread negativity and fear among those of us who want positivity and Hope. Gods word tells us what to do in times like these. I agree with the my pillow guy. Read your Bible and pray. Or as the sign on the Golden Corral says “be a light in this world”.

While reading Gods word a peace came over me. So get out there be a light in the world today. Don’t let negativity steal your hope and pray for those that are in desperation and lost.

God Bless All!

  1. Praying for you my friend. We will get through this just as we have all other things. They cannot take away our faith in Christ!

  2. “Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I. Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.
Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.
Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.
Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?
If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.”

Too fearful and negative? This is how Paul affirmed his apostleship.
