Our Spirit Of Adoption-Lost in Time?

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. (Romans 8:15)

So through Christ we are able to cry out for our Father, the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.

Christ attended Hannukha, and at that time told the Jews of His time He was the Son of God and they rejected Him. (John 10) Allowing for our adoption.

Many passages in God’s word given to the prophets of old fortell the coming of Christ. And His rule. Micah 5 told of His birth place, Isaiah told of His earthly lineage and His rule. Take Isaiah chapter 11:
And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;

3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

Jesse was known for His faith in God.
For you see Paul taught the Hebrews that without Faith you couldn’t please God.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Paul goes on to list all in history who pleased God. Even mentioning David. Whom God chose as King of Israel, God rejected all of Jesse’s son but the smallest, looking not at the stature or size but looking at His heart and faith.
For example, Noah was not a great prophet or sensational pastor, He found favor with God because of His faith making him righteous in Gods eyes.
Christ did not judge with His eyes but judged with the Spirit as evidenced by who He defended and who He blessed.
Why say all of this while talking about our Jewish roots?
We are not taught in our History about where we came from. We are not taught that we rose from Jewish roots, we are not taught the whole importance of faith. We are not taught that to understand what or who we are to savor every word of the Old Testament as a testament of our roots and faith. In fact many say that the Old Testament is no longer needed, that we have a new covenant and the Jews are abandoned by God.
Christ said “I come first for the Jew and then the Gentile. Their hardening of heart and lack of faith left the gate open for Christ to gather us into His flock. (Romans 11)

Though some may think Israel holds no importance to God we see scripture teaching otherwise, as Israel is Gods inheritance. The very first time we see Israel named in the bible is when Jacob is renamed Israel by God after wrestling with an angel and he prevails. As Christians we serve the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel).(Genesis 32:28).

In the psalms we see David feeding the people with God’s word and those people are Jacob and Gods inheritance Israel.”He chose David also His servant, and took him from the sheepfolds: From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel His inheritance. (Psalm 78:70-72).
God has made an unbreakable covenant with the house of Israel, and His laws are written in their minds and in their hearts! (Hebrews 8:8-13).

Paul, Peter, John and all the Apostles taught from the Old Testament. We have such glorious promises brought to us by the faithful throughout all of History, yet we choose to ignore our beginnings. We came from the most faithful in History! Look at the lineage of Christ, you will see the best of the best. Even with Mary who had Faith unmeasurable! Did you ever wonder why the lineage of Christ was so important? Its because of faith. God blesses those who please Him? How do you please Him? By faith, Christ said to have the Faith of a child, or faith of a mustard seed.
Yes God judges and executes judgements against those who fall away and worship other gods. The aldultery of His people brings judgement. We are in danger of being cut off from Gods people. When we boast about how we’re more important or allow idols we risk being cut off from the olive tree, known as Israel or from the root that brought the Messiah to us.
There is an abomination to God and that is one that denies His Son and denies God’s people Israel (which we are a part of ). There are 2 of these present in the world today, but only one that condemns both. Christian replacement theology brings abomination and judgement, but there is one abomination present today that has held itself as God above all other, an abomination of desolation. Islam denounces Gods son and Gods people. Again we find the antichrist in plain sight.
When choosing a visual of Israel, the Olive tree, I found an amazing report that will leave you saying Ahhh, I never knew that! Olive Trees can grow back from the roots after being cut down! And understand why the Olive tree is the crux of the parables of our roots. For those who have eyes to see and ears to see.

(Wikipedia) “A study conducted by the National Research Council of Italy in 2012 found that several olive trees in the Garden (speaking of Gethsemane) are amongst the oldest known to science. Dates of 1092, 1166 and 1198 AD were obtained by carbon dating from older parts of the trunks of three trees. DNA tests show that the trees were originally planted from the same parent plant. This could indicate an attempt to keep the lineage of an older species intact. Then again, the three trees tested could have been sprouts reviving from the older roots. “The results of tests on trees in the Garden of Gethsemane have not settled the question of whether the gnarled trees are the very same which sheltered Jesus because olive trees can grow back from roots after being cut down”, researchers said.

However Bernabei writes, “All the tree trunks are hollow inside so that the central, older wood is missing . . . In the end, only three from a total of eight olive trees could be successfully dated. The dated ancient olive trees do, however, not allow any hypothesis to be made with regard to the age of the remaining five giant olive trees.” Babcox said that the roots of the oldest trees are possibly much older and then points out the traditional claim that the trees are two thousand years old.”
