The atheist may believe God does not exist let alone hell, but as we look around His creation and existence cannot be denied (Romans 1:18-20).
Jesus spoke about hell in the New Testament more than about heaven, because He did not want anyone to go there! Repentance was always the order of the day, as it is for our time as well (2 Peter 3:9). 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
The bible does not hide who will go to such a place of eternal torment. So who will be in hell? Scripture teaches the wicked and those who forget God will be there, along with the murderer and liars. Did you know in Gods eyes if we hate our brother it’s as bad as being a murderer? (1 John 3:14-16) (Revelation 22:14-15).
God had to make a hell as there will be those who even after everything falls apart all around them will still not repent and turn to the Lord. It is those most wicked and rebellious of soul’s that will be cast into the lake of fire along with those who were not found written in the Lambs book of life!(Revelation 20:10-15). 10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. You have asked for a geographical location of hell, and said hell is a fictional or symbolic place (Allegory).Although scripture does not give us a pinpoint place where hell resides it none the less is not a fictional place. The Strong’s Concordance lists 54 passages of hell for further study.
Your comment reminds me of Thomas who doubted Jesus resurrected, and would not believe unless he could put his finger into the print of the nails, and thrust his hand into Jesus’ side then he would believe. Jesus reply is for all of us as a matter of faith, Thomas believed because he saw Jesus, but blessed are those who have not seen yet believe. (John 20:24-29).
An excellent example hell and its flames are real is found in Luke 16:22-31 of the rich man in hell looking up at Lazarus wanting just a drop of water, because of the torment and flames he was in. (Luke 16:22-31).
We do not need a geographical location when scripture teaches us without repentance we are in danger of being cast into hell, NO MATTER WHERE GOD HAS IT.

This author did not say that Hell was in the center of the earth. Did you bother to read the post? Scripture was cited. God made hell for the fallen angels originally. You can find these verses easily from any Bible or website such as openbible.info :

Now as for me, I am the owner/editor of this blog. Read my about page. I am not a Christian apologist as I feel the word of God is defended by God himself. I have often said in my posts I am not a scholar, theologian or even a Pastor. Now for more on your 2nd comment, I dont judge success by the numbers of followers or likes. I write what the Holy Spirit lays on my heart period. Gods words do not come back void. I may not know who needs encouragement or discernment or warnings but God does. And yes I believe in a literal hell. If you dont I suggest you study. If you are only wanting to mock Gods word or Christ and His followers, or bait them with questions as did the Pharisees to Christ, than Im happy you are done here. Sorry you couldnt find encouragement in this post and that is that God wants none to perish but all to have everlasting life. But if you continuously mock and deny him you are sealing your eternity in hell with the devil and his angels. One last thing, read the book of Enoch, its extrabiblical but there is a wealth of information about the geographical place of darkness in which the fallen angels are in chains awaiting judgement. May God send somepne who can guide you.

God the consuming fire will consume your soul and you are gone forever. You are not punished forever but you are gone forever as if you never existed.
Both of these concepts are eternal. The modern church has used this false version of eternal punishment hellfire and Brimstone to beat people into church with fear and guilt for millennia and it should stop.

Life and death which will you choose?
John 3:16
Within the verse of John 3:16 are the words “Eternal” and “Perish”. Both mean exactly what they say. For God so loved the WORLD that He gave His only BEGOTTON Son that whosoever should believe in Him shall not “PERISH” but he shall have “ETERNAL” life.
Both of these words are profound in their meaning and both are forever. Eternal life means you will live forever and Perish means you will be gone forever.
Much of mainstream Christianity has the “Perish” part wrong and their portrayal of death hell and the grave are in complete error. This is not rocket science ladies and gents, “perish” doesn’t mean you will burn in a lake of fire forever. Perish means you will be destroyed, blotted out forever and ever as if you never existed.
Mainstream Christianity has used this false doctrine of eternal punishment for millennia to beat people into their little houses of ill repute they call churches. They portray God in a false presentation of this concept of hell and eternal punishment as if He will enjoy seeing His beloved children suffer in a burning lake of fire for eternity.
Why you ask? Because many of these idiots can’t read. Then, there are some who know better and do it anyway to threaten people into accepting Jesus Christ. In this manor can they coup the sheep up in their little houses of ill repute and steal their money. This false doctrine angers me to no end to see my loving Heavenly Father portrayed in this manner.
These Charlatans will answer for this I can assure you. They will be held accountable at the Great White Throne Judgment. Judgment starts at the pulpit.
More non believers are turned away from accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and savior by this false concept of death and hell than any other subject in the Bible. Every Church on TV and the all of the Churches I have visited personally, teach this false doctrine of eternal punishment.
When I bring this subject up in Christian circles, many act like they are going to have a heart attack and the names and accusations start flying like vomit. Names like heretic, false teacher, nut case and many other names have been hurled my way. They have big muckedy duck names for the true presentation of death and hell like annihilationisim and many other ridiculous terms they use. It is as if I were trying to pull their little blankets off of them while they are sleeping at night and start yelling at me as if they were children.
Many of these people with PHd or Dr in front of their names can’t get this concept right and it is as if they have been stripped of any common sense and cognitive skills when it comes to reading.
If you cannot interpret John 3:16 correctly you have no business teaching or leading anybody.

Mr. Vaughn, I allowed these replies to save me from doing a post warning about new age doctrine of demons and seducing spirits. We believe in the whole Bible, not mans cherry picking. Or mans interpretations. I pray no one falls because of this. The book of Revelation is very clear and doesnt need your interpretation. Seventh day Adventists and many more base false teachings on the verse from Ecesiastes cherry picked for an Aha moment, saying there is no hell. You are on a slippery slope. We at this blog believe in a literal hell, I won’t tell you that again. I actually feel sorry for you.

Show me scripture to back up your claims that hell is a geographical location in English. The Greek words are Geehena or Hades or Sheol in the Hebrew. Hell is an allegory and not in the literal sense of the English word.
