There is nothing new under the sun(Ecclesiastes 1:9)and as it was in Noah’s day so shall it be in the days before the time of our saviours return. We as Christians are not left in the dark not knowing when our Lord will come back for His church and reign forever!
Noah was a righteous man who was perfect in his generations and walked with God.The lesson we learn from Matthew 24:37-39 is how people will be so busy drinking, eating, marrying that the return of Christ will not even register with them. He will be as a thief in the night to those who remain in darkness(1 Thessalonians 5:1-11) But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. (Revelation 16:15).
When we look around today viewing the disassembly of Gods sacred union of marriage, the slaughter of innocent children by abortion and outright hatred in people’s hearts are we so far away from “As in the days of Noah”?(2 Timothy 3:1-5). This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
