Early churches, even in this lifetime were concerned with the commands given to the disciples of Jesus. They held services for the deacons and pastor to lay hands on the sick, anointing with oil, visiting the same and the poor. Taking care of widows and children. And witnessing and making disciples of all. How far we have fallen. Those who have large television and radio ministries begging for money and promising many blessings if you give to them, are not, I repeat not, following Christ and the examples set by Him and the disciples.

Matthew 10 is overflowing with instructions and teachings for the followers and the Body of Christ, yet these are ignored. And not only ignored, but completely ignored and distorted. Take the Evangelist that said “if Jesus were alive today He would be travelling the world in a private jet.” This is erroneous doctrine of demons.

These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans.6 Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. 7 As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

9 “Do not get any gold or silver or copper to take with you in your belts— 10 no bag for the journey or extra shirt or sandals or a staff, for the worker is worth his keep. 11 Whatever town or village you enter, search there for some worthy person and stay at their house until you leave. 12 As you enter the home, give it your greeting. 13 If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you. 14 If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet.15 Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.
There is no price on God’s word or the Gospel of Christ. Healing the sick, the lame, and those possessed by demons were Christ’s first concern. And He even instructed them to first go to the lost children of Israel. This is even distorted. He told them not to take or worry about Gold or Silver, they would be cared for and their needs met. He told them to bless the houses they stayed in, and if they were treated poorly or didn’t receive the word of God, than they should let their blessing of peace return to them. No where does it say tell all that they must give money for you to travel or make your road easier. In fact He warned that they would have a rough road, and much persecution would ensue. So why are there false preachers today preaching the opposite? Satan has infected the Body of Christ. I read once that Satan doesn’t want the unbeliever, he wants the believer, the followers of Christ. The Body of Christ, because satan knows he already has the soul of the unbeliever. He wants to destroy the Body of Christ and the people of God.

We are in no way saying that we should not support our shepards, what we are saying is that to promise a monetary blessing for supporting them is erroneous doctrine. For Christ said who ever gives these a cup of cold water shall not lose their inheritance. Our inheritance is not of this world. Yes, God blesses us and cares for our needs, but our inheritance is not earthly. Period. And one can not obtain the Kingdom of Heaven through monetary gifts or works. Those who stage and choreograph television healings are not without total merit, but to do so to gain worldly recognition and gain is wrong. Do you see these evangelists traveling from hospital to hospital or town to town to heal the sick without television cameras and staff who say for a gift we will pray for you and send you a magical prayer shawl? Does or is there a church today that invites the congregation to the altar for the deacons to lay hands on, anoint with oil and pray? No, this has fallen like the church. Putting a price on healing, blessings, or salvation is also shown in the Bible. Peter denounced the man Simon who offered money for the gifts of the Spirit. You would be both appalled and shocked at the refusal of some of these organized Evangelists to help the persecuted and suffering. I know I was and I’ve heard many excuses from them. 

There are many houses that have a bible within, yet it stays closed and soul’s remain hungry for the truth. God’s word is given without price to feed the multitudes. God sent manna from heaven to fall in the wilderness to sustain the Israelites even though they complained, then sent His only begotten Son who is the bread of life and He too has been rejected (Isaiah 55:1-6). Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the Lord thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Even the Lord ’s Prayer says “Give us this day our daily bread”and although the word is free for all of us the day is coming when there will be a famine in the land of hearing the words of the Lord. As we look around today we are reminded there are more and more people living perfectly happy without God front and center!(Amos 8:11-14). 11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord:12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.13 In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.14 They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beersheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.

Wake up Body of Christ, arise from your slumber!
