There are many ways to gain knowledge in this life and we must remember that it is only the knowledge of God we retain in this life and for all eternity. The only way we are able to find this true wisdom is if we search for it as hid treasure and study the scriptures!(Proverbs 2:1-9). My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.6 For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.8 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
Our life is not to flaunt what we have or all that we are, but what we were created to be as a vessel to show forth Gods glory which is a treasure in His eyes(2 Corinthians 4:5-7). 5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
