Now that Iran is in the spotlight after President Trumps withdrawal from the P5+1, and as optimistic as I am because someone finally stood up against an oppressive regime, the people are heavy on my heart.
As our President said, the country and future belong to the people of Iran. You deserve freedom, you deserve your dreams to be realized. We must keep the spotlight on the reprehensible human rights abuses carried out by the current regime.
The world watched as protests against oppression were met with violence and I wept. I cried out to God. I pray for you daily. For an end to oppression, for strength and courage. I pray for my Christian brothers and sisters, for the Bahais’, for the political activists speaking out for freedom, I pray for the abhorrent executions to stop.
Your pain and sufferring is not un-noticed by the West. I pray God to send help. I pray for God to open eyes of leaders that can help.
My message to all there is don’t give up, stay strong, and to my brothers and sisters in Christ look up take His hand, He loves you, and His promises are true. Nothing can take this from you.
Shine a light in the darkness. Share your prayers and strength with them.
