Today is a bittersweet day for America. Three Anericans detained in No. Korea are heading home with Secretary Mike Pompeo. One of the families thanked the President.
The reason it is bittersweet is our rembrance of Otto Warmbier. The young man No. Korea sent home in a coma. Vice President Pence tweeted this today.
Otto’s family is in our prayers today. As we thank God for his blessings of a homecoming, we also pray for wisdom and courage for the President. We pray for those still held in foreign prisons like Pastor Andrew Brunson held in Turkey for his Christian faith. And the many held in Iranian prisons simply for their faith or political affiliations.
And we want to say to those today, Welcome home!
