At times when in deep sorrow we may feel so alone and even think God is so far away, after all He’s God and probably has other things He needs to be tending to than to hear the cry of my heart.Nothing could be further from the truth! He knows our heart better than we do.He knows what it’s like to have a heavy heart as we read of how He felt when man chose wickedness over righteousness and His heart was grieved and knew He had to destroy His creation!(Genesis 6:5-7). 5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
The love of God can comfort and restore our soul.OurLord suffered so that we may live a life of hope in this world and for all eternity. He knew more than us all what it is to suffer(Isaiah 53).
Psalm 121… I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
