“You Have Collected All My Tears And Recorded Them”

Psalm 56:8 You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.
Our hearts and prayers are with the victims and families, children and first responders in Florida.  Seventeen children and teachers lost their lives in a evil horrific attack on a school.

Its heartbreaking that Gods most precious gift is attacked.  Keep them in your prayers.

That said there are a few things that also need to be said.  I haven’t been able to write about this until now.  As heartbreaking as it is to watch parents and children scream for President Trump to do something, anything as long as it takes away guns.

Guns are not the only problem here.  We have grown a culture of rape, hatred, and murder for children with games, movies and music.  Our entertainers call for the murder of our President daily.  Rap music portrays murder to be cool.  As parents, we have failed an entire generation.  No longer is death portrayed as heinous or even permanent.  Look at the shows your kids are watching.  The games they play.  It’s ok to bully, it’s ok to cheat lie and steal.  God has been taken out of every aspect of public and school life.  Ignoring warning signs from disturbed individuals, we have accepted darkness as normal.  The young man who committed this atrocious evil act was on the FBI’s radar, the local police were called to his residence multiple times with at least one call for a mentally disturbed individual.  He was receiving counseling and quit going.  No monitoring.  He was known to school officials for his mental instability.  His public defender portrays him as a poor individual with mental problems and troubled past.

When will school officials pay attention?  When will parents pay attention?  When will we learn to discipline, and teach respect, and honor to our children again?

We have to pay attention, it’s not the government’s responsibility to teach morality to our children.  Yes, we need better security at our schools, our children are our most precious commodity.  Yet we live in a throw away society.  We throw away our responsibilities and blame the government or others.

If only the President would act, if only all guns were outlawed.  If only, if only, if only.  Drugs have been legalized in many states, and people have accepted it.  We have to accept responsibility and act.

We have to turn the hearts of this country back to God and His commandments.

Then He will heal our land.
