The Slippery Slope Of False Doctrine

There are many cults that have branched off from Christianity.

I use the word cult because that’s what they are.  There are 2 of the largest that began in the 1800’s.  They began either by visions from angels or prophet or prophetess.  And grew from there.  One such cult claims Jesus has closed all forgiveness and is now judging each of us as to whether we are eligible for eternal life.  You cant make this stuff up.  Our eternal promise given by Christ,  turns out to be for only a handful who follow a false doctrine given by angels or modern prophet.  It also teaches unless we are perfect as Christ was, we are lost.  It teaches there is no hell, and that the Archangel Michael is Jesus.  It teaches that the mark of the beast is those who worship on Sunday.  Lord have mercy.  In fact their whole doctrine is based on one commandment and prophecy that in no way resembles the Revelation of Jesus Christ or the prophets of old.

They believe in replacement theology and have formed alliances with the Palestinians against Israel, you see they think God is done with Israel, they are spiritual Israel, and Jews have survived 2,000 years, not because of God but because of politics.  Confront them with Romans 8 or Romans 11 or Galatians 5 and they turn red and stutter.  Again you cant make this stuff up.  If you approach them with the truth in scripture, they either deny the meaning or say “we’ll get back to you ” and then bury it.  They truly have twisted not only the Bible but the the book of Revelation.  Which clearly is warned against changing.  You should see what they believe about the millenial reign of Christ.  Clear science fiction yet thousands are being led astray.

They cherry pick scripture and ignore the rest.

A few examples, and this is from personal experience with members and teachers:

The belief that Michael is Jesus is from Daniel 12 where Daniel is told Michael is Israel’s prince.

Their belief that there is no hell comes from parts of the old testament where God tells the Israelites that he will turn their enemies into ashes under their feet.  They rail, see there is no eternal torment your turned to ash and your done.  Helloo!  In a rant that they say proves no one is tormented in hell forever, they deny the scores of scripture declaring otherwise, even giving a new definition to the word eternal.

They completely ignore or can’t explain the 5th seal of Revelation with the Saints in heaven crying out How long oh Lord, with their belief that no one goes to heaven, ignoring “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”  Taking away all hope that the Apostles taught.

They do deny a secret rapture but believe that they  will be raptured to heaven for 1,000 years (while satan rules during the millenial,)  to judge all Christians while tribulation takes care of the rest of us gentiles and all jews, except for maybe a few.  Satan reigns on the earth with his demons during this time, then Jesus returns to the Mount of olives, raises the wicked who wage war against him, destroys the earth, makes it new and all will live on the renewed earth called New Jerusalem.  Oh this hurts my head! And my heart.  You can’t make this up.

Please read Gods word with the Holy Spirit, it is the only Spirit sent from God.

Galatians 1

Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,  4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:  5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.  6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:  7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.  8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.  9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.  10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.  11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.  12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.  13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:  14 And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.  15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,  16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

Galatians 2

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.  17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.  18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.  19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.  20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.  21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

So this cult is essentially making Christs death and gift of eternal life,  null and void.

Be careful with slippery doctrine.

  1. @ Mark 23:7 really spoke volumes. “God does certain things at certain times.” Our foundation is Jesus who is The Word. Christ is the emphasis of the Gospel. Sadly, the Church has allowed false doctrine in sleeps much. But, the Holy Spirit calls those with ears to hear and eyes to see to the plate and directs God’s will into our spirit/soul to set them on fire for His Glory and put on the Armor of God and march to fight the Good Fight. In Jesus name. Amen.
