For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
I am both saddened and heartsick over division in the Body of Christ.
I am not Ashamed of Christ’s gospel, or seeking to learn my hebraic roots. Through learning Jewish customs I have come to have a greater understanding and love for Yeshua. I have come closer to the Father through Him, and have learned the magnitude of the sacrificial lamb. I have learned where the New Covenant and Gospel good news came from. I have learned the magnitude of Salvation.
For instance the rituals performed before one could enter the Temple or eat a sacrificial meal, is our salvation. Jesus is the sacrificial lamb to cover our sins, He cleansed us with His blood, and like the Ancient Jews were required to confess their sins, and wash in running water and put on a clean garment, this is our Salvation. We are told to confess our sins, be baptized and receive a new body (be born again). By Faith in Christ, through the Grace of God we are saved.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.
This is so wonderful! Christs gospel of Salvation to all is such a magnificent gift. The Last Supper gave new meaning to the covenant He gave us. Eating the bread and knowing this is His body, broken for us, drinking the wine and remembering His blood shed for us, the washing of feet to cleanse and show the Master serves. And the new Temple in Christ Jesus as fortold throughout the Bible. In Revelation Christ again instructs the churches to buy salve for its eyes from Him, to be clothed in a new white robe, how marvelous to know what He is giving to us. How marvelous to know that we partake in Gods blessings.
How wonderful to know that God so loved the world, that He sent His only Son to die so that we may live. How wonderful to know the Holy Spirit resides in us through Christ and we may go boldly before the Throne of God to petition. Something only reserved for the High Priest, and Christ removed that veil for us. He is our High Priest!
How awesome is our King who sits at the right Hand of the Father. How awesome will that day be that our King returns to gather us to the place He has built for us. But for now, He has set us free from slavery and sin.
There are so many parallels to our Jewish roots. Every time I read about them I am amazed and I learn more about my Savior, Yeshua, the Father and the Holy Spirit, I long to be at their feet.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Come quickly Lord Jesus.
Lets do as commanded and watch for His return! And warn as many as possible and guide them to truth, time is running out.
