Our God is almighty, He’s all knowing, He’s all powerful, and He loved us so much He sent His only Son as the ultimate sacrifice for sin. The only lamb acceptable to God was His Son. The blood of this sacrifice is free to all without pre-condition. Hence Jesus’ statement My Yoke is easy, my burden light.
He accepts us just as we are, broken and sinful. As we ask to be mended, as we ask to be filled, He changes us, as we strive to walk with him, we are given new hearts, we are renewed, we are born again. It doesnt mean we will be perfect, but it means we are allowed into the fold.
I woke up several times last night with the word Salvation ringing in my ears.
Salvation: the act of saving or protecting from harm.
Some religious beliefs put stipulations on salvation. Take Islam for example, you can only be guaranteed their version of paradise if you kill and become a martyr for their god. Our Bible tells us different. In the first place God says “Thou shall not kill” so in Gods eyes their version of salvation is evil.
Why not say—as some slanderously claim that we say—“Let us do evil that good may result”? Their condemnation is just!
There are no pre-conditions to Gods saving grace. Through Jesus all have been offered the gift of salvation.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
God has shown His salvation as far back as the exodus of the israelites who were upset and asked moses if they were being led out into the wilderness to die? Moses reply was that they were to not be afraid and was about to see the salvation of the Lord for they were going to be led across the red sea on dry ground and see the awesome power of the God they served!(Exodus 14:10-16).
God alone is our salvation and we obtain salvation by enduring all things for Christs’ sake(2 Timothy 2:8-15).
Time is short. God is calling us to His Salvation. His saving Grace. We can be lost with the world and its fate or we can accept through Jesus, Gods saving power. Choose wisely.
