Jonah 1
Now the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, 2 Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me. 3 But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.
4 But the Lord sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.
Jesus warned of Tribulation and Gods judgement. All throughout the Bible we see Gods judgement on a defiant and wicked people. Jesus said when asked for a sign that he was the Messiah : “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; 3 and in the morning, ‘It will befoul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. 4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.” And He left them and departed.(Mathew 16)
I agree with the scholars who say this sign of Jonah was prophecy of Christ’s death and resurrection, but I also have been drawn to this as a sign of the punishment of a wicked, rebellious church. One that defies Gods mission and judgement and writes the doctrine to fit themselves.
I recently, while traversing for a brother in Christ, (one who claims to be a prophet but doesnt understand why God isnt blessing him with riches,) receieved a message for him that simply said, “Get up and do the mission I gave you.” You see the brother was so distraught because he wasnt blessed with riches he was angry and jealous of those who had been blessed and ranted and condembed. So I gave Him this message and he (who claims prophecy) said what mission? And continues today on this same path of defiance.
Just look recently at events 3 major never before seen hurricanes back to back. And a disastrous earthquake yesterday in Mexico City. Yes you can say never before seen. As scientists describe Maria as the clouds reaching to space and new colors were invented to portray its strength. Mexico City’s quake came on the very day a quake hit the same place in 1985 killing thousands.
Gods judgement and shaking of a wicked and defiant world goes unnoticed. Just as He shook Jonah out of compliance He is shaking today, but as prophecied in Revelation they still dont turn from their wicked ways. The day of the Lord grows closer every hour and still no repentance.
If your not ready, and you are hitting the snooze alarm defying Gods judgement because He couldnt possibly be talking to me or its not judgement or the tribulation because He promised me I wouldnt be here, WAKE UP!
Christ’s return is near, and while I long to see Him in the clouds He gave me a mission to warn His people, and I will do that until I hear the sound of the Trumpet announcing His triumphant entry! I beg you friend, wake up. I watched my earthly father when he gave an altar call, he would sweat, raise his Bible, face red and say, I beg you friend come! Come to safety! Read the entire story of Jonah and repent. Time is short.
If you think we are different than Jonah or the ancient Israelites and God wouldnt Judge in that way today you are sadly mistaken. I dont have enough room to list every trangression by America let alone the world but its defiance is reaching the level of those who saw the flood and punishments of a defiant people even after the flood. His patience will run out.
Isaiah 24:20
The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.

If the brother’s goal is riches, where did that goal come from?? If he should get riches, that would finish destroying him!
” Seek FIRST, FIRST, FIRST, the Kingdom of GOD and HIS Righteousness and the necessities of life will be added to you,” JESUS said.
