Man’s and God’s Harvest………………
There is the harvest of man and harvest of God set in the earth.When man plants a harvest it is to bring forth food for his family and to feed the nations.When man gathers his harvest,he is taught to leave some for the stranger,fatherless and the widow.This lesson in a persons life brings many blessings from the hand of God when we feed the poor and help the stranger!
“When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field,and hast forgot a sheaf in the field,thou shalt not go again to fetch it:it shall be for the stranger,for the fatherless,and for the widow:that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands”.(Deuteronomy 24:19)….
”Every man according as he purposeth in his heart,so let him give;not grudgingly,or of necessity:for God loveth a cheerful giver”.(2 Corinthians 9:7).
The same concept is taught by Jesus when he said: “He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;The field is the world;the good seed are the children of the Kingdom;but the tares(weeds)are the children of the wicked one;
The enemy that sowed them is the devil;the harvest is the end of the world;and the reapers are the Angels.As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire;so shall it be in the end of this world:.(Matthew 13:37-40).
We are told to die to self and the world’s ways……There is a parable not many teach for this of the seed(US)that needs to die(to worlds way)so the seed can live then for what it was created for!
“And Jesus answered them,saying,The hour is come,that the Son of man should be glorified.Verily,verily,I say unto you,except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die,it abideth alone:but if it die,it bringeth forth much fruit.
He that loveth his life shall lose it;and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto Life Eternal.If any man serve me,let him follow me;and where I am,there shall also my servant be:if any man serve me,him will my Father honour”.(John 12:23-26).
“And behold I looked,and a white cloud,and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man,having on his head a golden crown,and in his hand a sharp sickle.And another Angel came out of the temple,crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud,Thrust in thy sickle,and reap:for the time is come for thee to reap;for the harvest of the earth is ripe.And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth;and the earth was reaped”.(Revelation 14:14-17)…………
