The Blessing Of Rain

Many may view rain as something that just rolls over the land from time to time without any real direction, but rain is a blessing that comes from the hand of God and is guided where He sends it!(Job 37:10-13). 10 By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.11 Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:12 And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.13 He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

Scripture plainly tells us that there are times God even withholds the rain as we see in the book of Amos as a chastisement when the people would not return to Him as they ought to of (Amos 4:6-8).And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord. And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered. So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord.

From the very beginning God created all manner of food which He provided for man,and the rain was a blessing for the increase of the food!We are known by our fruits that is the labor of love we show towards His name (Hebrews 6:7-12).For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned. But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
