International Women’s Day

Today we honor women.  There are so many in the Bible from Eve to Sarah, Rachel, Rebecca, Deborah, Ruth and Esther.  Many Strong women Mary the Mother of Jesus, Mary Magdalene, Martha and so many that risked their lives with the Apostles to spread the Glorious words of God’s Son.

Strong convicted women setting examples all through our history.  As many are participating in vile displays of what they think women should be, let us spend the day in prayer remembering the women of history and remembering the strong women today carrying on in the Gospel despite persecution.

From Nigeria to Iran women are dying and imprisoned.  Let us remember them.  Let us pray for God to strengthen them and give them endurance, let us pray that more turn to God.  Let us pray their sufferring brings more to God as the world watches their unwavering Faith in the face of adversity.  And thank God for these strong warriors for Christ.

Proverbs 31:30

Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
