Many Are Called But Few Are Chosen

Jesus looked the world over to find a man that had courage, resolve and determination.  Someone who wouldn’t cave under pressure known only to the spiritual realm.  As He thought he found one, they would cave to temptations of the flesh, or just plain gave up.  He found many that could evangelize and do great things, but few that would walk in His footsteps or those of the disciples. You see he needed a special brand.  One who could enter into spiritual warfare in dark areas of the world where demons thrived.

For He knew that one day a good portion of His church would turn from Him and follow the riches of the world.  He knew that they would care only about fame and fortune, and one day they would even turn on each other like ravenous lions.

Finally one day a man finally looked up and said I want to know more of you.  I know my God is not live, my God is empty and false.  He knew this was His man.  He knew that the spiritual forces of darkness would almost destroy him, He knew the spiritual forces of darkness would destroy this man’s life, take his weaknesses and use them against him, He knew this man’s life would be laid in shambles.  So why choose this man?

Because He saw that through all that would happen, this man’s love for Him would not diminish.  He saw this man’s Faith was like so many in ancient times.  He saw faith in adversity like the faith Job had.  He knew that this man would be brought to ruin, but He chose Him anyway.

His faith was unbelievable.  And His thirst for the true God was what was needed, in the Middle of the dark kingdom of the prince of persia.  The same dark spirit that Michael did battle with to help Daniel.  He knew he needed a man with this strength.  Regardless of what the world would do to this man, regardless that his family through marriage would destroy him.  He chose this man.. He chose Him to tell the people in darkess that He loved them and was returning soon.  You see He needed a man that understood the God that was deceiving them, a man that could show them the difference.  One they would listen to.  For this the man was persecuted.  The man’s life was destroyed by a jealous woman, who claimed to love him.  By Christians who were deceived by the raging lion roaming the earth seeking whom they could devour.

And this man, just as Jesus knew was left broken.  Many Jesus chose have been abandoned by men broken, but are still following him.  Faith unwavering, because this world and the deceiver has no hold on eternity.

Brothers who abandon brothers in the face of adversity will be judged harshly by Jesus.

A man’s sin is forgiven but those on earth refusing to forgive and push for vengeance or their judgements lacking mercy will face harsh judgement.  His word says vengeance is mine.  Forgiveness is a large part of the man fom Nazereth.  And His gospel.  Yet whole Parts of Jesus church preach “stone him” refuse to help this man, if you touch him your unclean.

God is recording every act, every idle word that causes His chosen to stumble.  So what will you do??

This man is not the first man Jesus chose that was unworthy in the eyes of others.  Paul was chosen.

By now you know I am speaking of Saeed Abedini.  A young Saeed found Christ and accepted Christ and his mission.  Fought through the layers of adversity and torture only to find in the end his only true friend was Jesus.  His faith is unwavered.  Churches, ministers, even publishing companies have used him to make money and have dropped him.  As women in this country exhibit vile behavior and hatred to men, and the courts favor them, men like Saeed lay broken.  There are thousands of men just like Saeed in America.  If you want to see a few visit the Father’s Rights Movement on facebook.  But be prepared to cry.

Jesus is watching over His chosen and his rewards in heaven will be great.  What will yours be?

So do you finally understand the verse ” Many are called but few are chosen”?  Matthew 22

The Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a king who prepared a great wedding feast for his son. 3 When the banquet was ready, he sent his servants to notify those who were invited. But they all refused to come!

4 “So he sent other servants to tell them, ‘The feast has been prepared. The bulls and fattened cattle have been killed, and everything is ready. Come to the banquet!’ 5 But the guests he had invited ignored them and went their own way, one to his farm, another to his business. 6 Others seized his messengers and insulted them and killed them.

7 “The king was furious, and he sent out his army to destroy the murderers and burn their town. 8 And he said to his servants, ‘The wedding feast is ready, and the guests I invited aren’t worthy of the honor. 9 Now go out to the street corners and invite everyone you see.’ 10 So the servants brought in everyone they could find, good and bad alike, and the banquet hall was filled with guests.

11 “But when the king came in to meet the guests, he noticed a man who wasn’t wearing the proper clothes for a wedding. 12 ‘Friend,’ he asked, ‘how is it that you are here without wedding clothes?’ But the man had no reply. 13 Then the king said to his aides, ‘Bind his hands and feet and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.”
