In the present condition this world is in, is it any wonder scripture teaches all things will be made new when Christ returns! We are given a vivid picture of how it will be before our saviour returns in 2 Timothy 3:1-7 (2 Timothy 3:1-7). This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Throughout many generations the spirit of the Lord is preparing a people who will show forth His praise in the earth. As He makes all things new we are also a new creation in the body of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17-21), Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (Ephesians 4:21-25), (Ezekiel 36:23-28).
We have the wonderful prophesy come to pass spoken of in Jeremiah that the days will come when there will be a new covenant made with the house of Israel which is the redeemed people of the Lord and with the house of Judah (Jeremiah 31:31).Jesus fulfilled the new covenant that puts His laws into our mind and write them upon our heart by His spirit! This creates a people who are renewed by His shed blood giving us forgiveness of sin (Hebrews 8:8-13). For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
Not only will the earth be made new, He will also write a new name upon His own (Revelation 3:12). Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
