” Receive Instruction And Be Humble “

xy67R7QA0X

Life would be easy if no matter what we wanted or whatever we would do just worked out every time, but if this were possible the lesson of being humble and taking instruction would not be needed and we would be most rebellious. The terrible twos would continue into adulthood, but scripture teaches us to “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it”.(Proverbs 22:6).It is by instruction and correction do we learn to be humble.

If left to ourselves without sound instruction we would have a hard time to cope, but we can do all things through the strength of Christ when we accept Him! We learn how to be abased and how to abound. (Philippians 4:9-13).  Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Upon repentance we have the promise of Gods guidance in our life, and He will preserve us from trouble and mercy will surround us as we are instructed in His ways and not our own. (Psalm 32:5-11).  I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him. Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee. Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about. Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
