” The Maverick “

th8N2I9L5Rv6

Jesus would be considered a maverick as He was an independent individual who did not go along with the majority. The belief system in His day among the pharisees and sadducees has not changed much over the generations for although there are many religions there is still just one faith which is in Christ and He remains the only way to heaven! (Ephesians 4:1-7).  I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

We hear the saying “Don’t shoot the messenger” when one is delivering news they know people do not want to hear, and so it was with the good news of the gospel Jesus was sent to deliver unto the people. He was treated opposite than how we would think the Son of God would be treated…… not to mention the saviour of the world and giver of eternal life, yet He went about His Fathers business just as the maverick in us will stay strong for by His spirit we are as He is in this world. We must make full proof of our ministry that we have been entrusted with. (2 Timothy 4:1-5).  I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
