” Putting Aside The Old Way Of Life “

Change is never easy in any matter, but if we are talking about life or death then who would not want to gain eternal life? We must put aside the way we know is not right and not just consider it, but truly live a life that is pleasing to God and be obedient in serving His ways over our own. (Romans 6:16-23).  Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

WE have been given so many wonderful gifts from the Lord such as salvation, grace, forgiveness, hope but to have the ability to turn our life around for the better Repentance just may be the best gift man has to have a new lease on life! (2 Peter 3:9)……(Psalm 68:18)….(Ephesians 4:8).

As Christians we know our life is hid in Christ and if we abide in Him then sin no longer has power over us as it once did, therefore our old life is crucified with Christ and we now have newness of life. (Romans 6:1-10).  What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

  1. Gooood Grief! I had no idea that obamer was in the TN area..I was going to work and sensed something was out balance; It went from a beautiful sunny day to gloom and dry lightning to light show of lighting by the end of my shift.

  2. Bill……………..There is no need to apologize for the word of God, and you have stated very clearly about these jets that are not a coincidence especially since they are the best of the best in their craft. As you stated it is VERY RARE! Gods judgment is truly in the earth now more than ever with the same sex marriage being pushed as normal and the weather in so many states at one time taking lives and homes we must wonder how can people NOT question????? Don’t ever stand back from preaching what God puts on your heart Bill, remember even Jesus own did not accept Him and were offended and the word is offensive to those who do not want to follow the just and righteous ways of the Lord. God Bless and keep you always close in His care Bill.

  3. Thank-you, Julia. This is precisely what every Christian needs to hear and incorporate into their life. For if the “old man” is not crucified, then we end up with what I’ve nicknamed “stillborn” believers; they’re not fully born-again. And there are–sadly–millions of such people out there, and it is the primary reason–in my humble opinion–that the Christian community in this country failed to keep prayer in schools, failed toprevent the legalization of abortion, failed to keep the airwaves clean, and, most recently, failed to prevent gay marriage from becoming the law of the land. Because Christian values were not upheld and sustained as the de facto guiding principles of our nation, America has fallen into its present crisis. It takes fully crucified and born-again Christians to promote Christian values. A true Christian can honestly and effectively evangelize the heathen, but a ‘semi-Christian’ does more harm than good. Without exception, every atheist I ever encountered went on and on and on about “bad” Christians who preached well but lived poorly. It can be maddening. Once the damage is done, the unbelievers won’t give you the time of day. And I must confess that I, too, have not always exemplified the Christ-within as I should have. How many have been lost because I sinned and gave them the perfect excuse to reject God’s Love? Only God knows, May God please forgive me.
Julia, earlier today I saw reports on the news of events that appeared to be–again, in my opinion–God clearly sending all of us a message that yes, America is under His Judgment. Two of our nation’s most elite jet fighter aircraft crashed in separate incidents, one in Colorado and the other in Tennessee. An Air Force Thunderbird F-16 went down near Colorado Springs; the pilot safely ejected. Only minutes earlier he had participated in a “fly-over” above the President and guests at the USAF Academy cadet graduation ceremony. In Smyrna, Tennessee, a Navy Blue Angel F-18 crashed shortly after take-off. The pilot was killed. Both men flew their jets in the “6 position” when performing aerial displays with their fellow pilots. And if you add the numerical values of their names’ first and last initials, you get “21,” which is 7+7+7, or “777.” A crash of either a Thunderbird or Blue Angel aircraft is rare, but to have one of each crash on the same day–and they were both the “6” planes–is staggering. I realize some readers may be offended that I am implying that God is telling us something here, but when I witness tragedies like this where the odds of them occurring the way they do are astronomical, for me…there is no doubt.
Of course I feel terrible for the family and loved ones of the pilot who died in Tennessee. We all do, and we pray for them. And the pilot in Colorado who survived was very fortunate. We pray for him, too. And, again, if what I am saying is offensive to some, I ask as humbly as I can that they try to understand. We are living in the Last Days. These are harrowing times. Horrible things are going to happen. It isn’t called “The Tribulation” for nothing. Judgment is devastating. And I must stand firm in my assertion that for those of us with eyes to see and ears to hear, God has spoken. And it is sorrowfully apparent that He is withdrawing His protection from our country. There have been too many of these “accidents” recently for us to brush them off as merely coincidental. The writing is on the wall. We must not turn away from it. When God speaks through these sorrows, we must listen. We must, and we shall.
Julia, you have delivered a much-needed message for all of us. Please keep up the good work. May the Lord keep you and protect you in the difficult days ahead. God bless.
