When The Body Of Christ Pray’s, And Speaks Out The World Hears: Pastor Saeed Abidini

I’ve watched the testimony of Pastor Saeed Abidini, with Eric Stacklebeck and what a message he has for us!  His testimony should give us all hope, and the knowledge that our prayers are heard, and answered.  God show’s His might through our obedience to him, through prayer and unity.

In his interview he said that he was tortured,  “they beat me so bad”, demanded him to denounce Christ or pay penalties of death, and the ruining of his reputation, they even threatened to kidnap his sister and bring her to the prison with him, but he said that when Christians spoke out and the media picked up on it, their torture of him eased.  Grant it, they used prisoners such as Al-queda leaders to do their dirty work for them, but they eased when Christians prayed and spoke out!  When we unite our prayers and voices do matter.

You see, Iran realized the importance of Christ, and His message to the world.  They realized that by Pastor Saeed’s testimony the world would marvel at the hand of God.  So they set to work to ruin that message.  When they realized they couldn’t budge his faith, they went to work.  And by they it also includes the evil spirit that controls that region.  We get a glimpse of this spirit in Daniel when God sent Michael to battle the Prince of Persia so that his vision would be realized.  We are in a spiritual battle of this darkness as well as physical.  Iran is ruled by darkness as is the other countries across this region even stretching into Africa.

Iran charged Pastor Saeed with trying to overturn the Sharia led government.  A government built on a religion of oppression and slavery.  When he was only attempting to show the love and salvation from Christ.  When he was arrested they told him “you have a plan to remove the government and a punishment of death is waiting for you.  He led thousands of Muslims to Christ, and Iran was mad.  The Prince of darkness could not have thousands of souls snatched from his hands.  So he set to work to destroy this.  This is not new either.  Satan has been attempting to destroy man and God’s message from the beginning of time.

The important thing we should take from this is that when God works through the Body of Christ, His name is glorified.  Our prayers and voices do matter.  We are in a battle to beat all battles, the Islamic state is bent on conquer.  Destroying and crushing everything in it’s path.  It’s time to do spiritual battle, as we did for Saeed.  It’s time to go to the war room on our knees.  It’s time to raise our voices and pray.  Most recently when millions raised voices to declare Christian genocide this voice was heard.  Our work is not done as Pastor Saeed suggests.  It’s only beginning.  It’s time to speak out.  It doesn’t matter who is the leader of our Country.  Our voices have to be heard.  When we are silent dark things occur.  When we remain silent our laws are changed, our customs are changed, and people suffer.  Speak out to God, take your prayers to the Throne room.  We as Christians can go boldly before the Throne of God and make our requests known.  Christ is our defense and mediator.  The Spirit of God resides in us.  It’s time we show this spirit to the world.

Hebrews 4:12-16

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Jesus the Great High Priest

14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven,[f] Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Let us give all Glory to God, and not forget that unity in the body brings power.  Let us not be divided by petty disagreements, let us unite, for the time is coming when no man can work and it’s coming faster than you think.  And pray for the people of Iran, Pakistan, India, Iraq, Syria, Nigeria, all of Africa so that they may be brought to Christ.
