” Deliver Us Lord “

15z47d

When the disciples asked Jesus how they should pray He covered many things including the need to be delivered from evil, as not all have faith and follow that which is good. (Luke 11:1-4)….. (Matthew 6:7-15).

Lot was a man who lived a righteous life, and although he was amidst the ungodly he was delivered just as those who live and abide by Gods ways today……. For God knows how to deliver us from temptations! (2 Peter2:6-9)  And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:…… (Proverbs 10:2).

By loving and serving the Lord we are delivered from so much, He frees us from our enemies and we are delivered from the power of darkness and He has conquered death for us. Great is His mercy and our soul is delivered from the lowest hell even. (Psalm 86:11-17).  Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name. I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore. For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them. But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid. Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, Lord, hast holpen me, and comforted me.
