Our soul is of great price in the eyes of God, for scripture takes much time in explaining what it takes to save our soul from death and hell. When we are faced with an enemy we are instructed to not fear them, because although they may be able to kill our body they have no power to destroy our soul. (Matthew 10:28-31) And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows…….. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
The call on our life as a Christian is not to keep doing as we always have, but to tell of the saving grace of God and to become a servant of Christ. (1 Corinthians 7:20-24). Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called. Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather. For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord’s freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s servant. Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men. Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.
It is written we all are sinners and fall short of the glory of God, but in knowing the humanness of us all if we help in bringing a sinner back to Christ we shall save a soul from death! (James 5:19-20). Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
