There have been many reports in the last months about schools teaching our children the Muslim religion.  They say they are teaching all religions, but are they?

What has parents so up in arms?  We have covered the basics before.  But something liberals and others don’t understand is what are they really teaching?  Are they teaching the different religions of the world?  Are they teaching Christianity?

One thing most don’t understand and its the churches fault for not addressing this.
You see Islam has a statement of Faith that if you recite it you disavow any God but the God of Islam.  You denounce Jesus as God’s son by saying Mohammed (not Jesus) is his prophet.  Do you get the
picture here?
A recent report states some parents are bringing a lawsuit against a school for making their children convert to Islam.  Stupid you say?  No its not.  It’s very serious. Serious and true.

We don’t have a creed that says you will be killed if you convert to another religion but we do have doctrine that teaches Christ telling us ” if you deny me before men, I will deny you to my Father.”

The Apostles creed is widely accepted by Christian denominations.  Some don’t recite them regularly but they accept it none the less.  Why aren’t the churches teaching our youth this statement of Faith?
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic/apostolic (depending on denomination) church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.

The Nicene creed is also widely accepted:

We believe in one God,

the Father, the Almighty,

maker of heaven and earth,

of all that is seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,

the only Son of God,

eternally begotten of the Father,

God from God, Light from Light,

true God from true God,

begotten, not made, one in Being with the

Father.

Through him all things were made.

For us men and for our salvation

he came down from heaven:

by the power of the Holy Spirit

he was born of the Virgin Mary, and

became man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius

Pilate;

he suffered, died, and was buried.

On the third day he rose again

in fulfillment of the Scriptures;

he ascended into heaven

and is seated on the right hand of the

Father.

He will come again in glory

to judge the living and the dead,

and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the

giver of life,

who proceeds from the Father and the Son.

With the Father and the Son he is worshipped

and glorified.

He has spoken through the Prophets.

We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic(protestants say only apostolic church)

Church.

We acknowledge one baptism for the

forgiveness of sins.

We look for the resurrection of the dead,

and the life of the world to come.

So why in the world would Christian parents not be upset by a school teaching that our statement of of Faith is wrong???  Why is the church silent on this???? Why do many say we worship the same God???? When CLEARLY WE DO NOT.

Teaching our children to recite this statement of Islamic faith is WRONG and against Christian doctrine.  And something Jesus warned not to do!  Do not deny him before men.  Do not let government trick our children into Indoctrination or accepting anything but Jesus Christ as God’s son.  We will be held accountable.
