The Wedding Of A Lifetime

When we go to a wedding we have no problem knowing who the bride and groom are just by the garments they are wearing. Spiritually speaking there is a wedding where Christ the groom will be returning for His bride, He has bidden His guest’s……………

Revelation tells us the garment is pure white linen that will be worn to the marriage supper of the Lamb, this covering is the righteousness of His saint’s. (Revelation 19:6-9). And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

No one has been left out as far as invitations go for this most joyous event, we need though on our part to repent of any sin and He has made an outline for any one of us in His word in hope of being a guest at this most blessed event. If we love Him we will keep His commandments and they will not be grievous to us, and understand we are His temple that does not commune with the darkness of the evil of this world for then He considers us His sons and daughters. (2 Corinthians 6:14-18).

The great marriage supper is that of the church of Christ that He has purchased with the shedding of His own blood (Acts 20:28), and the bride is not just of female gender for in the complete wholeness of the body of Christ there is neither male nor female. It is the choice of serving Him that we are clothed with the garment of righteousness. (Galatians 3:26-29). For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
