I don’t know where to begin.. why the world can’t recognize what is happening is beyond me. The refugee crisis in the Middle East and Africa has reached proportions not seen since World War II. Now we’re witnessing scenes out of Budapest Hungary that are straight from the history books of World War II. Remember the trains that took the Jews and Christians to the concentration camps or death camps as they come to be known? Well the churches in the area of the trains used to sing louder so that they would not hear the noises that were made by the people on the trains.
Tonight I watched a news report by CNN. I had heard about it a day or two ago but I watched the reporter walk through the train stations in Budapest Hungary. Thousands of refugees from mainly Syria are camping at the train stations in Budapest. They have stopped all train service to keep the refugees from traveling to other countries. Another report states that people were allowed to board the train in fact they packed the trains only to be stopped 20 miles down the tracks and put in a refugee camp. Some of the people refused to leave the train despite sweltering temperatures and little or no water. CNN’s report said that the refugee camps were worse than conditions at the train stations.
I don’t know what it’s going to take to wake up the world population or governing body to what is happening. Americans are sound asleep without a care in the world as to what is happening in the Middle East and some Western countries. The Nazis packed refugees, Jews and Christians onto trains, then sent them off to concentration camps. This is no different. These people are running from death only to be met with another darkness, refusal to allow them to travel to a safe haven. Pictures of a toddler lying face down on a beach in Turkey as his family fled from death in Syria. His father, the only survivor took over the newspapers this weekend.
If you don’t understand what time we are living in, it’s the time the Apostles warned us of…the time of the end. It’s only going to get worse as it moves around the world. Persecution has already spreading in some Western countries. Today, it began in the United States. As riots and protests have begun to divide us racially and politically, a Kentucky County Clerk was arrested today and told she would stay in jail until she agreed to violate her religious convictions. Her refusal to issue same-sex marriage licenses has caused her undue pain and suffering as she sits in jail and the media rakes her over the coals as a criminal. God forgives anything when you come back to him,or when you come to him for the first time, he forgives your sin. The time has come to turn to God. Prepare your soul, your mind and your body. The King is coming and He is Coming soon.
1 Thessalonians 5:4-8
But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5 You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6 So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.
