There was time I would say what do people do that don’t have God in their life? But now the answer comes easy that they are most miserable as a life does not work out without Him. (Just as Jesus had false accusers and enemies we too have the same but now have hope in our life in the land of the living. (Psalm 27:9-14) Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up. Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord…. (Psalm 31:14-16).
Life is precious and fleeting, and if we live and serve Christ now it is a surety we will have life eternal after we pass and are changed from being mortal to immortality and have no fear of death as Christ conquered it! (1 Corinthians 15:51-58). Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Gods timeline does not compare to ours as a thousand years is as one day to Him. (2 Peter 3:8)….. (Psalm 90:4). There is so much we can be thankful for as we live, and Gods thoughts are toward us only for good and we could never number all the blessing’s he has given any one of us. (Psalm 40:5). Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
