“Why Truth Is So Important”

Truth is always most important to stand for as the truth of the word of God is unfailing in the life of the Believer. Scripture doesn’t mince words as to what the outcome is to those who chose to accept and follow it, or decide to disregard and continue in a lie!

For those who do not accept the truth………… “Even him, whose coming is after the working of satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because thy received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie”.(2 Thessalonians 2:9-11).

For those who do accept the truth…………..”But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ”.(2 Thessalonians 2:13,14).

The word of God is not to be altered in any way, and all scripture tells us we can hold onto it’s truth as it was written by the hand of God through his holy prophet’s. Did you know a person is considered to be a liar if they say they know Christ yet neglect to uphold the ten commandment’s? This shows us just how important it is to keep the commandments as God expects us as Christians to do. “And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked”.(1 John 2:3-6). “Thou art near, O Lord; and all thy commandments are truth”.(Psalm 119:151).

Truth is so much a part of God it brings his mercy and righteousness to the earth as truth and mercy are the center and heart of God! “Shew us thy mercy, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation. I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints; but let them not turn again to folly. Surely his salvation is nigh to them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land. Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other”.(Psalm 85:7-10).

  1. Ann………………So much good in what you have said….Christians will always be persecuted for the truth and as you say Ann people want to feed and satisfy their emotions and steer from the honest to God’s truth. Also as you say even Jesus called hypocrite what they were in his day as we do in ours as the word of God is eternal. Stay on the narrow path Ann, Great Comment! God Bless You.

  2. I know those who want to pick and choose Bible verses and then condemn me while excusing themselves. Christians need to stand on the truth and follow the commandments! Let’s stop being hypocrites and follow Jesus instead out own emotions! God bless you

Rev. 22:20 'Surely I am coming quickly, Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus!'
