God Where the Hell Are You?

From The Crucifixion and The Cross

Alone in prayer and lifting the burdens the Holy Ghost was filling my mouth, heart, mind and soul with these words sprang to my attention, “God Where the Hell are You”

I had heard these words before many years when a blessed brother was walking through a very dark valley indeed and those were the words he cried out unto our Lord. He was so moved in the Lord that he was compelled to write an eBook with that exact heading.

Amongst all the cup of anguish I was carrying for these blessed saints I was reminded of these words written by our Father.

Revelation 6:9-11: And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of them that had been slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: and they cried with a great voice, saying, How long, O Master, the holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And there was given them to each one a white robe; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little time, until their fellow-servants also and their brethren, who should be killed even as they were, should have fulfilled their course.

As these ones cried then, this is the voice of many who are walking in such demanding, difficult and perilous places in the now. Their hearts are crying out “where are you Lord. where are you”

Others strong in their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are willing facing their earthly persecutors and in the love, might and strength of the the Lord are speaking his words that cause the men to wonder in their quiet times why would people so willingly die for this Jesus Christ.

Their souls join those as described in the word and join the chorus of the others saying, how Long, Oh how long of Lord before thy judge and avenge our blood on these ones on earth. The Lord’s answer is swift and sure that they should rest yet for a little while till the cup is full and has fulfilled its course.

As I was reminded of all this by the one walking with me, I turned and spake with a loud voice and motioned to the ones that were still living, the ones, imprisoned, the ones being scared physically, mentally emotionally and financially and with much tears anguish and pain said my brother, my Lord what about these ones. It is their voices that cry out in these times “God where the hell are you” as it appears they have been forsaken.

This brother then laid his hand upon my shoulder and lifted up his eyes to the throne of our King and Lord and said these ones are not forgotten. Angels have been commanded to stand alongside them and strengthen them so they may walk through these times.

Not only that my brother, you and many, many others who have heard the words of the Lord to come, to come in his presence with an empty your cup and allow Him to fill it up with the anguish of these children in these desolate and dying places. Your words become the incense which fills the throne room of heaven and every word, every tear drop is collected by the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Take heart my brother and friend in Christ that our Father does have his eyes on those ones in these places and has not forgotten them or forsaken them. As much as it may seem to you and many others that God is absent in these places you will hear in time of good reports of the work of our Father who art in heaven.

In all this as He commands you and others come into His presence, put aside all things of this earthly life and seek his face and they and you will endure to the end which is surely coming.

At these words peace came upon me and the anguish in my cup that had overflowed was replaced with joy, love and hope for all my fellow saints facing death in all the forms in comes in. Great praise we did give together to our coming King for all that he has done in our lives and in the lives of these saints under persecution for surely the stories would be heard for eternity.

My comment:  This, from a dear brother in Christ should give us all that have been in the valley of darkness much encouragement and hope.  The Cruxificion and The Cross is a wonderful site, with wonderful insights and encouragement.

  1. Troubles will come. Jesus promised us this. You just have to learn to take hits and keep on keeping on in Jesus name. This life doesn’t impress me.

  2. What a great article to enlighten many to know they are not alone! It is at our deepest darkest times in this life there is no where to look for help and hope except to look up. Many of our brethren are suffering for Christs sake and although we are not side by side we are in one accord in the body of Christ to carry out the will of God placed within our hearts. Stay Strong church God stands with us.
