We read that Jesus who is the Son of God was born for the sole purpose of being the saviour of those in need of one as they turn from sin to serve a righteous and just God. He was born to bring salvation to many and at an early age taught his Fathers way and knew he was to carry out his Fathers business. We who speak the word of God and are persecuted for Christs sake are a predestined people and our main cause is to go about our Fathers business as he guides us by his Holy Spirit. Jesus was born of the Holy Ghost and at an early age began to teach many the will of his Father. “And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold?, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I ust be about my Father’s business? Jesus always knew what his purpose here on earth was! and as we turn from our sin and repent we too learn of the importance to be doing our Father’s will!

The ministry of Christ is only grown and strengthened by those in the body of Christ doing what they know is pleasing to our Father. Jesus brought us the new covenant that has been written on the hearts and minds of all who believe. “Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more”.(Hebrews 10:15-17).

Paul doesn’t hesitate to tell us that Jesus came to deliver us from this present evil world, and save us from the sin that so easily populates it. He nor are we here to please the ways of man’s sin,but to do the will of the one who has called us. “Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God our Father. For do I now persuade men, or God? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ”.(Galatians 1:3,4,10-12).

The cross that Jesus endured teaches us of the deep love he has for us. We too are asked to take up our cross daily and follow him. Although at times trials seem so overwhelming, it is these trials that will set our feet on the narrow path to our eternal home.
“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”(Matthew 16:24-26).
