Headlines That Should Concern Us

Every day I look at the news, and search the internet for reliable news.  As the Body of Christ it is important for us to stay informed, and not be distracted.  What can we do About it?  We can pray.  We can become educated to world events, and how it relates to prophecy.  Time is short.  Pray for our Brothers and Sisters enduring persecution, pray for God to bring the truth into light, pray!  I will try to bring these headlines every week, every day if necessary.

Experts from the Henry Jackson Society (HJS) have issued a stark warning over what they say is the “clear and present danger” of Al Qaeda gaining possession of the Assad regime’s stockpile of biological weapons, claiming to have substantial evidence that Al Qaeda-linked groups may already have possession of toxic agents.

Attack on Russian Chemical Weapons Site Foiled

Russia along with the US have ratified the international Chemical Weapons Convention, which obligates all signatory states to dispose of chemical weapons. Both countries pledged to destroy all of their stockpiles by 2012. Although missing this deadline, Russia has destroyed 90% of its arsenal – with the remainder stored at various sites, including at Kirov, the target of the attack foiled on Tuesday.
Authorities said that two men, aged 19 and 21, both radicalized Sunni Muslims from the North Caucasus region, had been arrested. Extremist literature was also found in an abandoned house thought to be where the two had been planning the attack.

Turkey Fires on Jihadist Rebels in Northern Syria

Turkey’s army said on Wednesday it had fired on Al-Qaeda-linked rebels in northern Syria after a stray mortar bomb hit Turkish territory, reports Reuters.

Fighters from the Al Qaeda-affiliated Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) have seized territory in parts of Syria near the Turkish border in recent weeks, leaving the already fragile frontier even more vulnerable.

The Global Slavery Index 2013 defines slavery as the possession or control of people to deny freedom and exploit them for profit or sex, usually through violence, coercion or deception. The definition includes indentured servitude, forced marriage and the abduction of children to serve in wars.

  1. (from Mark chapter 13)
“So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time.”
“What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch'”

    1 Thessalonians 5:1-6
Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.

  2. There is a reason people are blind and deaf…To some it’s by choice and to others it is people who choose to stay away from the knowledge of God and remain in ignorance to the truth right in front of them as the blind guides of the pharisee’s Jesus spoke to,because they were all fired up to stand for their wrong doctrine and our world is no different today. Just as when Moses was unsure of the call on his life and tried to tell God he was slow of speech and of a slow tongue as though he called the wrong person.,but God’s answer cleared that up. “And the Lord said unto him, who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord”.(Exodus 4:10,11). YES! we do need to keep an eye on world events to see the hand of God in our surroundings, even if some choose to sleep on.God Bless This Ministry Of Truth.

Rev. 22:20 'Surely I am coming quickly, Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus!'
