Do you know where the theory of the Secret Rapture of the Church comes from?
Let me introduce you to John Nelson Darby.
He lived from 1800-1882. He was an evangelist, who had ties to the Plymouth Brethren. He is the father of Dispensationalism, futurism and the Secret Rapture theory. He was well educated, and made a name for himself by converting or convincing Catholics to leave the Catholic Church. Now get this, He had an accident where he fell from a horse in 1827, with a resulting in serious injury. It was here where he decided that the Kingdom spoken of in Isaiah was not the same as the ‘Church’. It’s what happens next that I find very, very interesting. You would think that someone as educated as Darby would know that any form of divination or speaking with spirits of the dead is clearly forbidden in the Bible! It is not from God, but from Satan, we are warned of this in my scriptures. Anyway, read the following very careful:
It was in 1830 when he heard of the Pri-Tribulation doctrine. It happened when he attended a seance’ conducted by a witch/occultist by the name of Margaret McDonald. It was during one of her trances where she supposedly heard from the dead that The Church would be raptured up prior to the Great Tribulation. Something contrary to biblical writings or teachings. It was considered heresy and John Darby was consequently excommunicated.
HELLO! He continued to develop this theory, even spreading views on Israel, and attempting to divide God’s word into catagories for Israel and catagories for the church. I’m not as learned as a scholar, but I believe this is where your 2 covenant theories come from also. His teachings was made popular in the US by the Scofield reference Bible. I study a Bible that has references to verses and other similar scriptures, but studying a reference Bible that clearly gives a man’s opinion instead of scripture or God’s word, is a dangerous practice. I will have to admit, I used to use these types of Bible’s, until the Holy Spirit led me to understand that this was not His word, but a man’s interpretation of His word, and if you trace it back you can see it came from a man who attended a séance where a woman talked to the dead. Please search the scriptures for yourself. This does matter. It is a dangerous teaching as it leads to a certain type of behavior that is very dangerous.
I am bringing this because I am truly worried about the Body of Christ. I worry that people will follow this teaching into the beast kingdom and in so doing will follow him into the pit. I am bringing a video from a man who taught me so much about this through His Book ‘The Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church.’ Now I had already studied for 3 years the rapture theories and God had led me to believe that the rapture would not happen the way it was being taught. To be perfectly honest, a major televangelist started me on this quest, because even with all his fancy charts, and a way to speak to bring you to your feet, I knew something wasn’t right. Something was very wrong. His charts showed things, that I couldn’t find in the scripture. It took about 3 years of earnest study and prayer, but I came to the conclusion this man was dangerous. Then l was at a garage sale and found this book. This book was helpful and confirming what the spirit was telling me, through scripture and prayer. Watch, pray and seek guidance from the Holy Spirit. But prepare your hearts, your minds and bodies for the tribulation that is beginning, keep watching, and looking up, for our redemption is drawing near.
