What Is Wrong With The Lord’s Shepherds? Report: Pastor Goes Against Church Doctrine To Marry Homosexual’s

Below is an excerpt from the Blaze about a pastor who went against church doctrine to marry a homosexual couple:

The Pennsylvania-based faith leader in an interview with the Centre Daily News said he was terminated by his church for marrying two men back in August.

Smeltzer declined to give the church’s name and said that “a few things have to play out” before he can do so, but his confirmation will certainly spark some debate about the right of churches to hire and fire on these grounds.

The faith leader married Joseph Davis and Gregory Scalzo in a ceremony that took place in State College, Pa., at the home of the local mayor, Elizabeth Goreham.

Smeltzer was aware at the time of his church’s stance on same-sex unions, Centre Daily News notes.

This campaign to put homosexuality before heterosexuality has totally ripped America apart, it’s ripped the Church apart, and it will be the downfall of America. Look back at history at all the large civilizations. When moral decay set in it wasn’t long before the crumbling of that society. And that’s a secular viewpoint. If you’ve never heard of Sodom and Gomorrah, I suggest you pick up a Bible and learn. Jesus warned that the time of the end right before His second coming would be ‘As in the Day’s of Lot.’ Lot lived in one of History’s most sinful cities. Sodom. When the Angels visited Lot they found Lot and his family to be the only worthy to escape. Remember Lot took the men (angels) to his home to give them a safe place to spend the night. He didn’t know they were Angels of God sent to mete out Judgment on a wicked city. He just knew that they would be attacked if they stayed in the street.

As in Genesis 19:4-5 Now before they lay down the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. And they called to Lot and said to him, ‘Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally.’ They then struck all those sodomites blind, and hurried with their warning to Lot to gather His family and flee. It was shortly after this that God destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah for their sexual depravity.

This has served as a warning down through the ages. A warning that we are currently ignoring. The slide toward sexual immorality & humanistic doctrine is pulling the body of Christ toward the Great Falling Away. It is here, this is serious, if you think it’s not, than just go back to sleep and everything will be ok.

Or so you think. Remember in Sodom everyone was doing just as Jesus said, they were singing, buying and marrying, business as usual. One day soon, the judgments that have been passed on this nation and the world for it’s sins of sexual immorality (& remember it’s not just homosexual sin, it’s sexual immorality that leads to murder too) will reign down from heaven. And it’s coming sooner than most think.
