THE KINGDOM OF GOD

(A Mystery revealed to his people)

There is a mystery of the Kingdom of God which Jesus reveals to his disciples when they ask him the meaning of the parable of the sower: “And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God:and the twelve were with him.And he said,Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God:but to others in parables;that seeing they might not see,and hearing they might not understand”.(Luke 8:1,10).

“And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come,he answered them and said,The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:Neither shall they say,Lo here! or,lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you”.(Luke 17:20,21).God within

The New Jerusalem (Zion)was fortold in the book of Isaiah and we can see that it coincides with the book of the end times of Revelation. It reads almost identical. “For,Behold,I create new heavens and a new earth:and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create, for, behold,I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people:and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her,nor the voice of crying”.(Isaiah 65:17-19).

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away;and there was no more sea.And I John saw the holy city new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying,Behold , the tabernacle of God is with men,and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:for the former things are passed away”.(Revelation 21:1-4).

Zion is God’s redeemed people, and the Holy Spirit that burns within them will be planted by the hand of God. “And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, thou art my people”.(Isaiah 51:16).

In the Lord’s prayer it is written:Thy Kingdom come.Thy will be done in earth,as it is in heaven. These very words show us the kingdom of God is in the earth through his people born of the Spirit for we are told to seek the kingdom of God.

“But rather seek ye the kingdom of God;and all these things shall be added unto you.Fear not little flock;for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom”.(Luke 12:31,32).

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills;and all nations shall flow unto it.And many people shall go and say, come ye,and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,to the house of God of Jacob;and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths:for out of Zion shall go forth the law,and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem”.(Isaiah 2:2,3). “They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the Lord in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten. My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains:they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace”.(Jeremiah 50:5,6). one lone sheep

  7. Thank you for that wonderful revelation of the kingdom of God, & the parallel between Is65 & Re 21.

God has truly established His kingdom here on earth. The spiritual kingdom of God was first planted when Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to dwell within us Lk3:16, & it is now is within us Lk17:21.

The physical/spiritual kingdom of God will fully be established when New Jerusalem descends out of heaven Re21:2,10-27, when God Himself will then dwell with us Re21:3.
