“The Mocked And Scorned”

We find that we must endure many trials to enter into the Kingdom of God. “Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the Faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the Kingdom”(Acts 14:22).

God’s word confirms he will take care of his children, for those who mock and scorn us and refuse his council he then will mock them. “Because I have called, and ye refused;I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my council, and would none of my reproof:I also will laugh at your calamity;I will mock when your fear cometh”.(Proverbs 1:24-26).

No one was mocked more than our Saviour, but he now sits at the right hand of the throne of God. “And they stripped him,and put on him a scarlet robe. And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand:and they bowed the knee before him,and mocked him saying,Hail,King of the jews! And they spit upon him,and took the reed, and smote him on the head. And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him,and put his own raiment on him,and led him away to crucify him”,(Matthew 27:28-31).

We see the protection over God’s people like when Elisha was mocked after working the miracle of healing the barren land and bitter waters. “So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.

And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him,and said unto him,Go up,thou bald head;Go up,thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare (tore)forty and two children of them”.(2 Kings 2:22-24).

The story of Job shows of a man which lost so much, yet was blessed double at the end of his life than in the beginning. “I am as one mocked of his neighbor, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him:the just upright man is laughed to scorn”,(Job 12:4).

With all a person goes through in this life God is Faithful to bring to pass his promises of protection.Jesus has assured us he has gone to prepare a place for us. “Let not your heart be troubled:ye believe in God,believe also in me.In my Fathers house are many mansions:if it were not so,I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.And if I go to prepare a place for you,I will come again, and receive you unto myself;that where I am,there ye may be also”.(John 14:1-3).

Just as satan thought he could rise above the throne of God and was all powerful was reprimanded just as Nimrod was when he thought to build a tower of Babel to reach the Heavens we see in the previous passages that it is God not man who has the final say!

  2. I Am Not Ashamed……..There is Power in the Name Of Jesus, and I know for sure God truly does step in behalf of his people.Years back I had a neighbor who thought to be mean and perverted was fun.Til the day came and I had enough it was as though God was just waiting on my words I looked up and said Father please take care of this and all of a sudden the sky darkened and the wind blew so hard it uprooted a huge oak tree in this mans yard and slammed it into the side of his house and no other neighbor was even touched!,he moved shortly after this….Yes I was mocked greatly,But God Is GREATER than any man’s mocking!God Bless This Ministry……Thank You for the reblog I appreciate it.

  3. Artbella…………God is a Mighty God we serve, for those who miss out on his blessings it could be they do not have faith,For it is written not all men have faith.I hear you when God’s way seems laughable, but we will laugh in the end when Our Father shows how we did’nt lie about the power we spoke of through his Sons Holy Name!.God Bless You.

  4. This post sure lifted me up this morning! Thank you friend! In the world where people find you naive and laughable when you say that there is power in the Name of Jesus against every ailment, problem or difficulty, what a comfort it is to KNOW that GOD TAKES CARE OF HIS OWN! I firmly stand on His promises, He is good and faithful and His Word NEVER CHANGES!

  6. Amen! Julia great post. I have found this to be so true in my own life, as well as others. God’s love and protection surround us, and He takes care of us, His judgment’s are just and true, and although we may not see how he deals with situations like Elisha did, He always takes care of it. Bless you sister!

Rev. 22:20 'Surely I am coming quickly, Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus!'
