Before You Dismiss Hell As Imaginary, Read This, With Video 23 Minutes In Hell

hhimages

When I was growing up, more often than not, if you walked into a protestant church, on any given Sunday, you would hear about Hell. Some were all about Hell-fire and brimstone.  The ministers were not afraid to preach about Hell and what it was and who was going there.  We even learned about Hell in Sunday School.  Somewhere down the road satan convinced everyone that Hell didn’t exist, and ‘Your scaring people!’  Your scaring people and that won’t keep people in church.  You name it he told the ministers, and they believed him!!!

So what does the Bible say about Hell.  Because before we listen to someone who tells us there is no Hell, we had better know what God say’s about it.  Here is what Jesus had to say about Hell, and who it was originally intended for:  Mt. 25:41 ( This is when he was telling them how He would judge and separate the sheep from the goats.)  ‘Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.’

So we find that Hell was prepared for Satan and his angels.  Then in 2Peter we hear this:  2Peter 2:4  ‘For if God spared not the angels, that sinned but cast them down to Hell and delivered them into chains of darkness to be reserved unto judgment…’

Then we see in Luke chapter 16, that Hell is a place of torment.  The rich man begged Jesus and Abraham to give him water, and warn his brothers and his family of Hell, so they would not go there too.  Abraham told him, if they won’t believe Moses and the prophets they won’t believe me.  So in addition to showing us a picture of Hell, it show’s that each will have to make their own choice about believing the words of God.

Jesus said many times, ‘There will be weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth.  Revelation 20:10 tells us that there will be torment day and night forever and ever!  Also Revelation 14:10

Ok, so we can learn from God’s word, that Hell is a very real place, a place where there will be real physical torment!  Not only mental anguish, and some who are so hard hearted in this life, and unable and unwilling to repent, will experience great punishment and torment.  And remember Jesus laid out a couple things that would be greater punishment, such as ‘If a man hurts one of these little ones, causing them to sin, it would be better for Him to have a millstone tied around his neck and thrown into the ocean.’

Believing in Jesus is not the only thing that will help you to escape the fires of Hell.  (Mt. 7:21)  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Jesus gives us a clear picture of what his judgment will be.  It’s like the teacher giving you the answers to the test a week before finals, and you still refuse to study, so you flunk the test.  This is amazing to me, Jesus even told us, how He would judge us, and what He would judge us for, and still we refuse to study the answers or believe Him.  Incredible!  Still they say there is no Hell and Jesus won’t send anyone to Hell.  Well here are the answers to the test, I suggest you study them, because the time is fast approaching, and since we figured out there truly is a Hell, like Paul say’s ‘Knowing all this what sort of people should we be?’

Remember Lazarus the beggar and the rich man who ignored him?  The rich man was cast into Hell.  This tells a multitude of things.  Know how some ignore the Christians who are being persecuted in other lands?  That counts here.  So many take this and think well, we’ve got this covered, this is all we have to do, feed the poor, clothe the naked and visit the sick and prisoners, we’re all good!  Well it’s not that easy.  Remember in Revelation 21:7-8  John tells us  who will be cast into Hell: ‘He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and ALL liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:  which is the second death.’

Hell is a very real place!!!  It’s a place of darkness and torment!  God just gave you who would be cast into Hell.  If we overcome, resist the devil and his kingdom, and refuse his mark, we will be overcomers.  This is the only way to escape the fires of Hell.  Jesus said, ‘I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.’  You can’t escape without Jesus.  I don’t pretend to say this one is going to Hell or this one is going to Hell, only Jesus can do that.  But if you use the gauges given to us by God, you will see clearly who is destined for Hell.  Don’t harden your heart so bad, like Pharoah did, or the rich man did, open it up to God, He will change you from the inside out, and save you from the fires of Hell.

I leave you with  Jesus’s clear guidance  in Luke chapter 21:33-36  ‘Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.  And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hears be overcharged with surfeiting and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.  For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.  Watch ye therefore, and pray always that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son Of Man.’

    • yes, Ann, all we can do is tell those who don’t believe. It’s like Abraham when he told the rich man, they have had the prophets and their warnings also, and if they didn’t believe them, they won’t believe us.

      • Thank you Julia, yes it is, they refuse to see the truth. You know, I had a dream several years back, as I was searching and studying the Bible and prophecy, I became very confused, and not sure which theologian to believe. I asked God what should I believe. I’ll make it short, but I was in a place that was very strange, not many people, no cars, I was walking and looking for anyone that could tell me what happened and where to go, and came on a little boy. I asked him where should I go to find help, and as he started to talk, his mother came out of no where and grabbed him and chastised him for speaking to a woman without his father present. She started to leave, and I started crying and pleading with her to help me, and tell me where to go, and she turned and said, ‘Go to the tomb’ that’s it, and then she walked away. I was horrified, but I set off to find the tomb. I finally found a cave, and when I entered it, there were many people rejoicing and praising God, and they said welcome to the ‘tomb’. Well at last! They were very kind, and I felt such peace, and then I woke up. I kept asking God to help me with the interpretation and finally it hit me like someone slapped me upside the head. The tomb, Jesus’s tomb, which symbolizes life, joy and understanding. I should pay attention to Jesus’s words! When in doubt go to the tomb! Hallelujah!

      • Ann, here is a poem that I found on the Net one day, and it is so good, the author captured my return to Jesus perfectly, I thought you might enjoy it.
        Written by Marcia Krugh Leaser

        Fearing the battle was over
And I’d already lost the war,
I was tired of trying and failing.
        I just couldn’t fight anymore.

        So, dragging my battle-scarred body,
I crawled to the foot of the cross.
And I sobbed. ‘Oh please, Father forgive me.
But I tried…I tried.. and still lost.’

Then the air grew silent around me.
I heard his voice just as clear as the dawn:
‘Oh, My child, though you are tired and weary,
You can’t stop, you have to go on.’

At the foot of the Cross , where I met Him,
At the foot of the Cross, where He died,
I felt love, as I knelt in His presence .
I felt hope, as I looked in His eyes.

Then He gathered me lovingly to Him,
As around us God’s light clearly shone.
And together we walked though my lifetime
To heal every wound I had known.

I found bits of my dreams, long forgotten ,
And pieces of my life on the floor.
But I watched as He tenderly blessed them,
And my life was worth living once more.

I knew then why I had been losing.
I knew why I had not grown.
At the foot of the Cross came the answer:
I’d been fighting the battle alone.

At the foot of the Cross, where I met Him,
At the foot of the Cross, where He died,
Then I knew I could face any challenge
        Together–just my Lord and I.
