I Feel Like Jeremiah! We Need To Read His Words, They Apply Today!

A friend points me to the words of Jeremiah, and I’ve done another post on how Jeremiah compares to Revelation, I’ll post a link to that at the end.  But I now totally understand why this is important.  The news of recent day’s points directly to this.  We are being led right down the path of destruction and we don’t even recognize it.  Here are some words from Jeremiah that ring true to me for today.

Will you steal and murder, commit adultery and perjury, burn incense to Baal and follow other gods you have not known, and then come and stand before me in this house, which bears my Name say, ‘We are safe–safe to do all these detestable things?  Has this house, which bears my Name, become a den of robbers to you?  But I have been watching declares the Lord.”

If you think Jeremiah’s warnings are to Israel alone, think again.  We are tied to this Nation, and are bound with these warnings as well.  More warnings from Jeremiah.

Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem, look around and consider search through her squares.  If you can find but one person who deals honestly and seeks the truth, I will forgive this city.  He goes on to say this word from God:  “Why should I forgive you?  Your children have forsaken me and sworn by gods that are not gods.  I supplied all their needs, yet committed adultery and thronged to the houses of prostitutes.  They are well-fed, lusty stallions, each, neighing for another man’s wife.  Should I not punish them for this? Declares the Lord.  Should I not avenge myself on such a nation as this?…..  “They have lied about the Lord; they said ‘He will do nothing!’  No harm will come to us; we will never see sword or famine.  The prophets are but wind and the word is not in them; so let what they say be done to them.”  “Therefore this is what the Lord God Almighty says:  ‘Because the people have spoken these words, I will  make my words in your mouth fire;and these people the wood it consumes.”

If  you can’t see a pattern here, and these things being played out today, than you have been blinded.  And need to ask God to remove the scales from your eyes.  This is where we are today:  ‘THE HARVEST IS PAST, THE SUMMER HAS ENDED AND WE ARE NOT SAVED.  SINCE MY PEOPLE ARE CRUSHED I AM CRUSHED; I MOURN AND HORROR GRIPS ME.’

If we don’t recognize this and turn to God for our faith, protection and repentance we will hear these words, and I’m not sure we are not hearing them.  John say’s there is an angel waiting to say the words ‘Let there be no more delay.’  John was given these same words in Revelation and told to eat them, they tasted sweet in his mouth, but in his stomach turned sour.  Why do you think they turned sour?  Because this same false word is being spread today, the false words of the above, where it proclaims we have committed adultery and declare that we are safe, and we have said, the Lord will do nothing!  We have put our faith in Man and governments and not God!  This is the words that are next:  ‘Do not pray for the well-being of this people.  Although they fast, I will not listen to their cry; though they offer burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them.  Instead, I will destroy them with the sword, famine and plague.’

This is Revelation, pure and simple and this is where we are today.  I fear that the words have been spoken.  :  Then the Lord said to me:  ‘Even if Moses and Samuel were to stand before me, my heart would not go out to this people.  Send them away from my presence!  let them go!  And if they ask you, Where shall we go?  tell them, ‘This is what the Lord says:  Those destined for death, to death; those for the sword to the sword; those for starvation, to starvation; those for captivity, to captivity.  Now read John’s words in Revelation chapter 13 verse 10 and see how they are the exact same words from Jeremiah chapter 15.

Don’t you see, the words of John in Revelation chapter 10 are being spoken?   The night is here, the harvest is done, we are there!

‘Behold I am coming soon!  My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.’

This is how Jesus ends the book of Revelation.  What do you think He is saying.  He is the beginning and the end.  He was there and gave these words to Jeremiah, and yet we dismiss them.  God help us.  Come quickly Lord Jesus.

What Do Jeremiah 5 and Revelation 10 have to do with us?

  1. Not too many days ago, I was also reminded of Revelation 22:13.

    • Yes, I believe He is bringing His children together. He is coming soon.

      • That’s written, and thank God for it. How I wish He’d arrive, even now. Yet He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Bless the Lord for His patience.

    • You know tellthetruth, that’s the second time today that I was talking about this verse, that He wishes none to perish but is patient that all should repent. Confirmation for me. Thanks so much. I too long for His return. We’re not of the world, so our heart and soul longs for our Home. I have come to understand that is the wish of the Body of Christ. This world is not our home, we’re just passing through.

      •   https://iamnotashamedofthegospelofchrist.com/ 2013 / 03 / 16 /what-do-revelation-10-and-jeremiah-5-have-to-do-with-us/ What Do Revelation 10, and Jeremiah 5 Have To Do With Us?

        Jeremiah 5:

        30) A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land [1830, AD];

        31) a. The prophets prophesy falsely [J. N. Darby],

        b. and the priests bear rule by their means [church elders];

        c. and my people love to have it so [wide path to narrow door]:

        d. and what will ye do in the end thereof [the unknown foolish virgins]?

        Reve lation 10:

        9) “ So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, ‘Take it and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but ‘in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.’”

        10) “ I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it. It tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour.

        11) “ Then I was told, ‘You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings.’”

        Some how I missed your post of 03/16/2013 regarding the warnings against altered Scriptures.

  2. I would say how odd I came to this site today with the way I feel……But God who knows the hearts & minds led me once again and I found comfort for my soul here.I agree there is so much to compare with Jeremiah & revelation.It’s sad there are church’s out there that only teach out of the old testament and yet others that only teach out of the new.We cannot have the new without the old….there would be no way of seeing prophesy foretold and then come to pass.I was reading today Jeremiah 9 & how he wept so for the people.Then I was reminded of (Psalm137 V1-4)It sounds so beautiful how they hung their harps on the willows(Verse 2)yet were asked to sing songs of Zion in a strange land….We are as strangers in a strange land after the truth is revealed to us..we are no longer of the world but changed forever!!!!!To God Be The Glory!

  3. Add these verses from Jeremiah 51:58 and Lamentations 5:

    From the weeping prophet of 2500 years ago:
    Jeremiah 51:58:
    “Thus says the LORD of hosts: The broad wall of Babylon shall be leveled to the ground, and her high gates shall be burned with fire. The peoples labor for nothing, and the nations weary themselves only for fire.”

    Today, another ‘whistleblower’ will be scoffed and finally killed:
    “So says satan of the NWO: the nation’s economy will be destroyed and its tall cities burned. The citizens will sell their liberty for nothing, for they are more fearful of human terror than God’s.”
